I won't get into the middle of tax debates but the gubmint has to provide basic services. And education (level of gubmint involvement is open to debate) is one of those that we all pay for. It's not gonna happen without. And there is a tipping point where we (society) gain more than the initial investment. Of course there is the other end of the curve.
End game for me-$$ toward education is an investment-how spent is open to discussion. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
Relaxing after an enjoyable afternoon with my 2 boys (dog and nephew).. Nephew was in school while me and the dog were playing ..once he got home we did our Christmas

Just got to the mountain after a horrible trip from Denver up I-70. On our side we passed 2 stranded cars which ran into snow banks and one truck jackknifed into the median. The other side was worse. Must have had 6-8 accidents and stopping points. Snow too high to see what the issues were. Usually a 2:15-2:30 long drive took us 5.5 hours. At times snow was so heavy we stopped because of whiteout conditions.
Good stuff.
But we we are here safe, and skiing should be good!

SWMBO noticed today on facebook (on a site dedicated to Algiers Point) someone had put a bunch of stuff out on the curb a few blocks away Post was 5 minutes old. "everything works". Free.
So we swung by and picked up a chest freezer. It was even clean inside. It's sitting in the back of my truck, I'll test later tonight.
On the way back to the house, saw Linda Hamilton taking christmas decorations off her house. I told SWMBO - "hey that's Linda Hamilton". She said - yep.
