Should've nominated someone who could have beaten Trump. That should have been very easy, but you guys ran Hillary. LOL.

There was no one that was going to stop the Trump Train. He is a man that spoke the truth on sensitive issues that most tip toe around and as such he had the support of every good, God fearing Christian on his side.

  • @sgh, you are probably right, however, I like to position it as Trump was a horribly flawed and easily beatable candidate that poor pathetic Hillary could not beat. I love hearing libs whine about Trump's picks, knowing that many of them will get Senate approval, and some of the votes coming from Democrats. That will be a thing of beauty.
They need to sit down, shut up, and hang on.

Every president's cabinet picks get criticized. Not all of their picks, but every president has some choices questioned.  This is not whining or crying.  I haven't actually seen or heard of the protests, people losing their minds in a while, initial shock seems to have settled down as expected.

I was going to post this:

...but then I realized there are no winners.  Just us and them, right?

There are some whining about his picks, some right here on this forum. Don't you get it man, the world is upside down. A sore winner? OK, if you say so, I may argue that this sore winner is only responding to sore losers. No winners, just us and them you say? No, ummm, our side won!!

If you pay attention you will notice one of three or four lefties always starts the trolling and whining. They have a grand ole time in their echo chamber. Then they bail when it's not so fun for them.

  • @legume, I still believe what I said wholeheartedly. However, I realize that there are many non in the tank liberal members on here that voted for Hillary. None of my comments are aimed at them. Whether aimed at them or not is irrelevant if it lands on them. For that I apologize. Having said that, as long as comments like that are made, someone, me or otherwise is going to answer them.
One more thing, is it not ironic that a thread making fun of the need for a safe space was started by someone who went into a bunker for about a month after the election?

It's called liberalitis. It's a cruel disease. It not only destroys ones mind and way of thinking, it destroys their looks as well. Hell it destroys anything that it touches.

I'm guessing this is some half-a$$ed attempt at trolling, because the idea that Nola went into grieving due to the election is such a joke.  Or is it really that you think he couldn't handle the pot-shots from the group of half-wits here?

I suggest you folks make your way to a Brisket Camp or a Butt Blast and meet the man before you embarrass yourselves any further.  He doesn't give a sh!t about any of this forum nonsense.  Hell @SGH will tell you that as well as anyone.

You are 100% correct in your assessment of Trump as a candidate.  You also posit properly that Clinton and her oft-vaunted "ground game" and "machine" presented poorly - and okay, 'pathetically', if you will - and simply did not deserve to win.

What is interesting is that you seem to crow about a "horribly flawed" candidate becoming our President.  Are the faults that lead you to view him as "horribly flawed"
now faults that are acceptable as POTUS?

@JohnInCarolina makes brisket camp and butt blast sound like its a fight and this guy he is talking about is the meanest dude there.  I don't get where you were going with that.

Oh it's a fight alright.  It's a stand-up knock-down brawl.  Loser ends up with SGH's balls in his mouth.

It's hard to explain unless you've shown up.  Lots of ins and outs and what-have-yous.

  • @JohnInCarolina after the election and his disappearance, almost daily someone on here asked where he was. Finally it was you who said he was ok but (and I am paraphrasing here) did not want to come on here and be ridiculed. I remember the comment because I remember responding with something to the effect that as seriously as he took the election, the last thing he was probably worried about is coming here and being teased by some yahoos on a barbecue forum. You said it, it was not something any of us assumed.
As for your comment about that being a half assed troll attempt, it was a totally legitimate question. Someone needing a one month "safe space" after his side loses an election gets tuned up for trolling a thread honoring the survivors of Pearl Harbor, so five minutes later he starts a safe space thread. Hollywood writers could not come up with that.
But hey, you are right, a guy who was always on here bloviating about politics, then his side loses, and he is M.I.A. for a month, yeah, I probably would have assumed the same without your comment.

This is a perfect example of liberalitis. It takes a beautiful young woman and turns her basically into a man. It takes men and turns them into rainbow lovers and fairies. It warps the brain and causes confusion. Liberalism has ruined more people than cancer and heart disease combined. And what's really sad about it is it's 100% preventable.

JIC was saying, meet Nola in real life and you will have a different perspective.

Nola is an incredibly gracious host.  He finds the stuff on here funny, not serious.  He is  very well spoken and kind.

He also doesn't need us to fight his battles, and probably cringes at my post, but most on here are friends outside of the forum and we all love cutting up and riffing on each other.  Its just goofy fun.  If anything on here really makes you mad, you should revaluate your priorities.

I will try to pay better attention.  Sorry for my ignorance, I just get frustrated because I don't know which "team" to join and it seems I need to be part of a team or have a label.

I can't believe anyone is still talking about Hillary.
