Cleaning up and seasoning a couple of my old griswolds to put on CL. I want a stainless blackstone but have been trying not to buy anything. Trading some in is fine though.

That's how I do it as well. When I want something new, I justify it by selling off whatever is sitting unused.
You might rethink the stainless blackstone. Seems to me, someone was having problems with it.

Brother Double had recurrent problems with the SS skirt warping. I'd stick with the standard model. It works great!blasting said:Lit said:Cleaning up and seasoning a couple of my old griswolds to put on CL. I want a stainless blackstone but have been trying not to buy anything. Untrue, just have to pick the right category.

Yeah I was reading the Amazon reviews and saw they weren't so hot. Good news is I can easily get $240 for the regular blackstone with the 2 skillets I am selling.bgebrent said:

Brined a couple big yard birds. Hit them with some Loveless Peach-B-Q. Little Hickory because that's all I have.______________________________________________I love lamp.. -

@bgebrentbgebrent said:Ron, We'll be there on Sunday at whatever time you prescribe. If you'd like any help, give us a ring. Looking forward to it brother!
As we are looking forward to seeing you and Nicole. Thank you for the offer to help, we should be ok, I think.
Most folks start showing up throughout the day on Sunday. The 5pm is a target, for the chef. He never hits it.
Need help killing the keg, so arrive whenever you want.
Saturday, will be setting up, and folks will likely will come over for liver stretching prep, and if the weather cooperates, cranking up the fire pit both nights.
Everyone is welcome to the event, there will be plenty.
I plan on doing a brisket and a batch of chicken legs for those who do not want shrimp.
Lot of food, cold beer, and if we are lucky, Robin will bring his iPod. If not, you will have to listen to mine.
@Jupiter Jim @northGAcock @theyolksonyou @bgebrent any beer flavor suggestions?
Test run on the fire pit. 3.5 ft deep, filled with gravel. Rain washes ashes down, and the water is filtered clean by the carbon. Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

@northGAcock - you definitely have a few hours before sunset. Great weather shot right there-reads like you have dodged the regular liquid sunshine that the area is noted for. On the hook is about as good as it gets in the San Juans. Gotta be a back-story for how you are there from SC. Most eggcellent. Enjoy the remainder of a great vacation adventure. Congrats to your bride for embracing (?) the trip.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. Back story simple, it is not 100 plus degrees with high humidity........wife and I celebrated our our 30 anniversary earlier in the week. @northGAcock - I saw your prior posts, just wondering how someone from SC would end up cruising around the San Juans. Figured there had to be some prior area or cruising knowledge/history. Regardless, enjoy the remainder of your celebration. Great trip for sure.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Lou....I have to throw a great deal of credit to @Sea2Ski has prior Expierence in these waters. Mark had sent me ariel photos for some great anchoring, a lead on a boat.....and charting my routs on several days. Mark has asked that I pay it forward as he has. While not the level of Expierence, I am happy to assist others with Amy planning.....oh and I will be back as some point in the future.lousubcap said:@northGAcock - I saw your prior posts, just wondering how someone from SC would end up cruising around the San Juans. Making a ton of bourbon slushies. Might just forget about the keg and just fill coolers with a variety of beers.
@northGAcock we used to have a grate, but with two BGEs and 2 webbers, not needed. It was retired when it burnt through."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber
