On a very serious note, I never have leftovers. Never. I may make some extra though and try it on nachos as you suggested. Thanks for the tip my friend.brimee said:leftovers (that is if you save some) worked great as a nacho topping...Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Made it today, substituting only red pepper for the green. I, my wife and daughter all rate it a hit. Reminds me of the sausage balls (with Bisquick) my mom made when I was a kid. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

I agree, my sister and I refer to them as "Green Ickies", and our evil step-mom would put them in almost everything she made.Biggreenpharmacist said:I HATE bell pepper.

You know, don't much anger or make me mad. But fukking with my food will set me off every time. I would have broke her from that $hit. Whatever it took. Especially if she was doing it just for meanness.Zmokin said:

Oh yeah. They are great!! I ate nearly all of them. I made about 8 total, the whole can of croissant sheet. Someone earlier mentioned eggs and that sounded good. I had to use an orange pepper, as the green one I thought I had wasn't usable. Otherwise made as per recipe.
Pairing with eggs was a good combination, and the SGH Loaf was great. Thanks for the recipe.

Made this also today, had some friends over, lasted 5 minutes tops. To say this is good is an understatement, it's GREAT!

Here is one that I experimented with today. It's a little different but equally good. Everything is the same as recipe #1 except I used:
3/4 pound of Jimmy Dean Hot.
3/4 pound of ground beef.
3/4 pound of ground Russian boar.
4 strips of chopped up Connecuh bacon.
This was a little different in taste but equally good my friends.

Still finding delicious opportunities for the leftovers. Unfortunately they are almost gone. Guess I will have to make more.
I highly recommend placing some in the skillet and getting a good crunch on the outside. I did another one after this and cooked the slice longer- really good.
