I go with what the climate scientist have been telling us all along. The planet has been heating up since the mid 1800's when the industrial revolution started. Already the ocean has risen in a lot of places. It's not liberal or conservative. It's what is happening.

It was cooling up to that  period of time. Before that it was warming.

What caused the earlier warming? Hint: CO2 levels have historically had little/nothing to do with the Planets temperature.

Check Solar output levels and cycles.
Obviously it's THE SUN!  Seems kind of unbelievable that so many climate scientists could have overlooked the SUN, amirite?
When I start getting into these "discussions", I love to point out that we have incontrovertible photographic proof from satellite photography that the polar ice cap has shrunk and is melting........on Mars. I blame it on the Rover.
I'm sure this argument plays well amongst the high school dropouts, but not much else. At this time, there is little empirical evidence that Mars is warming. Mars' climate is primarily driven by dust and albedo, not solar variations, and we know the sun is not heating up all the planets in our solar system because we can accurately measure the sun’s output here on Earth.

Last I checked I was a college graduate. The theory that the Sun is THE largest factor in determining the temperature on the inner planets is fairly obvious to even high school dropouts. I've listened to and read from numerous people who are Scientists and/or Climatologists, including the former head of Greenpeace who acknowledge that at the most, man made global warming is grossly overstated, and at worst a complete farce.

    Bottom Line:
Too many people:    US has about 5% of the worlds population and consumes at least 20% (I'd like a better number) of world resources.
EXPONENTIAL growth is the enemy.   Divide 72 by the percent growth to get DOUBLE TIME for the thing in question.    Example:  Population grows at about 2%.   72/2=36 which in years is the doubling time for population.

The Limit To Growth can be almost anthing.  Population / Food / Pollution / Water / Critical Resource / Energy  or the old standby, WAR.

To live like middle ages Earth could support lots of people.   Living better lowers the number AND shortens the time frame FOR such support.

Key is FEWER people and intelligent resource management.  Sustainability.
