I'm sitting here in such a state of shock that I can't even settle on a single emotion to express. I left for a short while to run a few errands. Had my puppy (a 30 lb bulldog) tied up out back. It started raining pretty hard and apparently he wrapped himself around the nest of my big green and pulled it off the patio, busting it into about 5 pieces. I can't even be angry at the dog. Maybe I should be mad at myself for leaving him outside. I can't afford to buy another egg. I want to cry but I can't even do that at this point. Scratch that, I just bawled like a baby. On one hand, I'm telling myself that this is stupid, who cries over a grill? At least it didn't fall on and kill my dog. But on the other….I'm sure I'm not alone in my grief if anyone else has suffered such a catastrophe.

First off, I'm sorry that your Egg is in pieces.
But let me say that this is a better outcome than what I was expecting when I first started reading. Thank God your bulldog puppy is alright. I was hoping not to read how he choked himself out on the leash around the Egg.
The Egg can be replaced. Cheers!Steve

So sorry for your loss.
I have a lbge with a crack starting in the base. I'll have a new base soon and if you want, you can have my old one. It could last for a season or two. I'm in MN if interested.Big Lake, Minnesota

Sorry to hear of your loss... thank god no one was hurt, the dog is okay, and the egg wasn't full of hot lump when it happened.

I am with the others. Fully expected a dead puppy outcome.
I am very glad your dog is ok, no one was hurt, and no structures burned down.
I fully appreciate your loss though. Major blow. Are any pieces salvagable?I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

I'm in - dog lover and when man's best friend kills your egg, you can't be mad. Cen-Tex had the best idea - for pup's safety or if they wander off, can't beat a kennel. Glad your pup is okay.
As much as I feel empathy for your situation it's hard to with no pics. No offense but, no pics and well you know the rest. And I agree with CenTex and others on the safety. Eggs can be replaced....lives cannot.

Just an idea but if everybody here that could afford it could chip in 5 bucks or 8 Canadian we could probably get the guy most of the way home. Probably should see evidence of the wreckage.
