@Ozzie_Isaac I got mine at a plumbing wholesale supplier for $10. HD has some for $24. I needed a special socket and used my impact wrench to loosen it. Lots on YouTube if your going to do it. Well worth doing IMO.
-
Thanks @Chowman I'm going to look into that. A little preventative maintenence goes a long way!

Oh man, that's so cool. It's 8:30 in the evening here in Arizona and the temp has come down to 90 degrees. No hint of snow in the forecast and it'll probably be sunny tomorrow. Probably go to sleep chuckling about your snow. Mother nature can be such a cruel b***h.grege345 said:This is my welcome home today. So take that

@nolaegghead The first 3-4 pictures are from a pricier charcuterie butcher. All their pigs are raised on a strict acorn diet that would contribute to the higher quality of meat. They are also dry aged for two years before they are trimmed or sold as whole. I read that the priciest leg cuts go as much as $1500 here in Barcelona. High end companies here will give you a pig leg as a Christmas bonus every year. (Awesome!) I stopped at a nice grocery store here in town and you can buy them in different price points depending on the quality and aging. I was able to take a few pictures of them in the grocery store before the manager came over and started to talk to me angry in Spanish!nolaegghead said:@WeberWho? I will never complain about SRF pricing again.....

Real Jamon Iberico de bellota is one of the most delicious things you can possibly eat. Because they add more than half their weight eating acorns their fat is closer the chemical composition of olive oil than the fat on pork we get at the supermarket. It tends to get runny at room temperature (that's why they have those little cups hanging from the bottom, so fat doesn't drip on people's heads) and will melt in your mouth.nolaegghead said:@WeberWho? I knew about it, but haven't done it before. I'm going to very soon replace a water heater and I am not looking forward to it.
