Picked up these two at Walmart today. Gonna put one of them on Thursday for an overnight smoke for another "safety" meeting on Friday.

They are the only consistent supplier of packers in my area so I see nothing wrong with this. Especially at that price. Nice score.I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

Had to get my some brisket too!! Been itching to cook something!
Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -
@cazzy wish I could get prime for that price!

Dear lord I need a Costco closer to me. Prime brisket for 3.89 per pound is freaking awesome.I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

It ain't that way in all costcos....

Quit whining, Costco doesn't even carry brisket in central CA. But they have some great tri tip deals for choice and primeLBGE - I like the hot stuff. The big dry San Joaquin Valley, Clovis, CA

Ain't that the truth! Prime brisket at the Costco closets to me was $9.99 / pound this weekend. I'd love to try one, but don't want to gamble $100 on something I've never cooked before.theyolksonyou said:It ain't that way in all costcos....Indianapolis, IN -
Good price. I buy them at Walmart all the time.XL,L,SWinston-Salem, NC

has anyone ever pulled the trigger and got the high end waygu brisket from snake river farms? If so, was it really worth the cost?St. Johns County, Florida

Definitely regional...they don't carry packers at Costco in GA or any prime briksy. I think choice flats are $5+ per lb at Costco 'round here.Scottborasjr said:Dear lord I need a Costco closer to me. Numerous have and it's worth every penny. Use the search engine and you'll get several hits.MaC122 said:has anyone ever pulled the trigger and got the high end waygu brisket from snake river farms? If so, was it really worth the cost?Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -
Not all Costcos have it for that price. Our Costco in Greensboro have them @ upper $6 a lb.
Like the original OP, our best place for brisket is choice from Wally World.------------------------------

Price depends on individual store overstock. My local Kroger meat manager told me they'll be offering leftover corned beef at really good price/lb tomorrow because they have 10 cases left after St. Patrick's Day. Monday it was $4.99, today it's $2.99. Tomorrow I'll buy several and cook them all this weekend.

BBQ is a celebration of culture in America. It is the closest thing we have to the wines and cheeses of Europe.
Drive a few hundred miles in any direction, and the experience changes dramatically.
