What’s cruel about enforcing the law and performing your job?

Having a pedophile as a spokesman didn’t do Subway any favors.
How Jersey Mike’s didn’t totally take them down after that is a real mystery!
I love Jersey Mikes!  One place I use to love, but not sure if they are still around is Cousins Subs.

People who support Trump in the name of Christ are committing blasphemy.  He is about the furthest thing from a Christian as you can get.

Supporting him is fine, but don’t delude yourself into thinking he is a saint.  He is a huckster and a con man, but he also knows how to get **** done and the rest of the world fears him because he is a few McNuggets short of a happy meal.

And Jesus said unto thee “strip away thy children from their father, for the father doth not have the papers to work the forklift at Walmart, and this is the law of the land!  And if thou cannot send him to another country far away, put him in a detention camp with millions of others and no lawyer, for he has no green card!”

What I have always found bemusing, is the assumption that this country was/is a Christian country. For Christians. I have not dived deep into the founding principles, but my understanding is that this was not explicitly stated at the time the Constitution was written (yes, I get that the folks who wrote it were Christian, landed, white peeps, who owned other humans, and had a certain starting point to jump from).

India's Constitution was written for the nation to be a secular one. And, yes, in recent times, Hindu nationalists have hijacked national politics there. But, still, holidays of nearly all religions are celebrated as national holidays (Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, etc). Growing up, my school(s) had morning assembly daily. We would read a short passage from the books of different religions... The Bhagvad Gita, The Bible, The Quran, The Guru Granth Sahib, and so on. Said the Lord's Prayer weekly, sang canticles, among other things. It didn't mean you were any less of whatever religion you believed in (or didn't, at all) at home.

Not sure what makes a "good Christian", but seems like the GOP knows how to get their vote.  Kinda like how pimps operate.

It’s been a blast messing with y’all. Going to bed now. Going to get up early and spend a little of this extra money. Something I haven’t got to do in almost 4 years. Have a good one 👍

The real mystery is why so many Republicans expend so much energy hating liberals six days a week, only to worship one on Sundays.

That's not quite true.  Several years ago I did some "internet research" (a term I hate and am embarrassed to use anymore, after COVID) and learned that 7, or 8, of the Founding Fathers were not christian, depending on which source you trusted most.  George Washington was episcopal and a Freemason, John Adams was a deist and despised christianity, and no historian really knows what Thomas Jefferson was (I've read two biographies on him, no mention there either).
There's a reason the First Amendment was written as it was.

  • Cali- been waiting patiently for this day.  We MAGA Trump lovers (cult) win!  We take America back from the fascist Biden/Harris regime.  It’s been 4 years of misery for the middle class of America.  And we can now watch Donald Trump return America to the country it was 4 years ago.  No more open borders, and fentanyl coming in the country.  No more illegal criminals crossing our borders.  No more high gas and food prices.  And lower inflation.  And we will see our universities quit promoting communism (per John Dolboe) and support the USA model going forward.  Trumps overwhelming win just proves what the average US citizen wants, and shot down any Democrat left wing agenda.
