makes me wonder if they want the registrations now for marketing and sales, i dont think they did in the past as ive never had a sales email sent my way.

I'm glad that I ran across this today. Haven't logged on in forever. I attempted to register again and really not sure if I got them both taken care of or not. Will give it a day or two. Thanks for posting.Wetumpka, Alabama

Seemed like such a great idea at first that they’re screwing up …Large BGE and Medium BGE

Turns out my XL is a 2016. There is no number stamped into the dome anywhere near the hinge. I’m surely not pulling off a gasket to see if it’s there.

The Cen-Tex Smoker for posting this!!! Otherwise, we never would have known about any of this. It’s too bad that BGE hasn’t posted anything about this on this website but I’m happy they seem to have figured out a way to help those who don’t have their eggs registered with or without the POP.
We have all of the original paperwork from our 2016 egg purchase (including the POP). Normally we don’t register things and I honestly don’t remember if we registered the egg when we bought it. The fact that we don’t have a registration care in our files means we either registered it or they didn’t give us a registration card. We also don’t have any record of a serial number and don’t see it on the egg.
You can check your warranty status here https://biggreenegg.com/
At the bottom of the page click “warranty registration”
Click “begin warranty registration”
Enter your email address and click search to see if BGE shows your egg(s) registered or not. If your egg(s) are listed then you’re all set.
If not, you have two options at least until the end of September 2024. It depends if you have a POP or not.
If you have a POP https://biggreenegg.com/warranty-registration/
Our registration was approved within 24 hours.
Without a POP go to the “open enrollment” https://biggreenegg.com/open-enrollment/There are a few things that are required, including “approximate date of purchase” as well as two pics of your egg. There is a statement that mentions pre 2016 eggs might not have serial numbers so I’m not sure if you will be approved if you say you purchased it after 2015 or not, but the serial number is not required to try to register.
I have no idea if BGE will approve warranty claims in the future without having your egg(s) officially registered (as we’ve done in the past) or if this information will be retained by BGE, but we can hope.
Sorry for the long post but hopefully it helps.

The Cen-Tex Smoker, I checked the registration website. All my information is there with the exception of the sizes of my eggs. I have a 2005 large, 2005 small and 2008 large that have all been registered on the website. I have the 2005 large and small receipts which earlier this year I used for a warranty claim. My question is when you login to the BGE warranty registration does it show you your information as well as your egg/eggs size/sizes? I did receive a confirmation warrenty registration email from BGE for each egg. I’m just curious if they should be listed in registration page.Everyday is Saturday and tomorrow is always Sunday.

I got confirmation of my registration this morning

For the last three years, his home’s been the rumble and sway of the rails. They call Lucky RetiredEggman, though luck’s been as scarce as a dime in a beggar’s cup. He has seen sunsets over rusting yards and dawns breaking over forgotten towns, each day a new page in his endless wanderings from town to town, chasing odd jobs and handouts.

Thanks Coastal for the two links / paths explanation. My L purchase was an eggtoberfest waaay back ($599!!) and had the receipt. So the basic registration was a fast way to make sure it’s discoverable in the modern system.

I fondly remember Egret's Salmon which he caught, if I remember correctly, in Alaska and then flew to Orlando to get to the Eggfest in Ocala that year. Great times. I was just a young egger for my first Florida Eggfest in 2011.
To keep this on topic, I registered my Large purchased in 01/24/2005. The didn't want a serial number but two photographs - full view and then inside view. Will see how that goes. I also have a MiniMax that I do have the serial number for and the date of purchase. Will see how that goes tomorrow.Ubi panis, ibi patria.

We did our first warranty under the new program. For the customer, the process is straightforward. When the warranty is approved, customer gets an email with a form to present to the dealer. Dealer signs in with EGG using the form and registers the warranty claim. When customer gets the warranty item, dealer confirms with EGG the warranty is complete.
Only real hang up is the warranty form has everything listed under claim details except the warranty part. The dealer has to go hunting elsewhere to find out what's being warrantied.

I'll email you Ron. This year I've only had three surgeries so far, both ankles repaired in the spring (last ditch effort to stop the disease before full replacements) and a broken femur about 8 weeks ago. Got dizzy from low blood pressure and fell down. While I was falling down my leg bent all the way (not supposed to do that with knee replacements) and I felt and heard my femur snap like a carrot. As is usual with my body, it hasn't healed correctly and I developed too much scar tissue, severely limiting my range of motion. I see my surgeon Monday afternoon. I'm guessing they're going to want to open it up and carve all the scar tissue out. They had to do the same thing with all three of my knee replacements so I'm not surprised. I could have skipped the last 6 weeks of aggressive physical therapy, for all the good it did me. 😬

So dealers no longer handle warranty? They just order the part?

Hopefully moving authorization from customer direct to BGE improves timeliness and frees the dealer from the equation people being unhappy about any denials. Especially if there are old records from old dealers and the registration card never made it to BGE.Fulfillment is the other piece. They are probably shipping to dealer as a no-cost part with the next usual shipment. So the dealer gets a box with the customers name on it— but if not then yes the dealer should have more transparency to the part without having chase it. Not sure if the dealer gets any financial credit for rebuilding eggs or anything. But there will be a mix of “just give me the part” customers and “who is coming out to my house for free disassemble and reassemble” requests. Auto industry I believe gets parts free and labor at rates they don’t love. “Every interaction is an opportunity for great service and an incremental sale”.

RPP - I have and explanation concerning the photo of the warranty card in my previous post. It looked so different because - that booklet was sent with the 2017 MiniMax I purchased at that year's Florida Eggfest. The good news for me, my 2005 Large will be covered under the new warranty program in the next 2 days.
I just completed the open registration for my Minimax instead of using the normal process since I don't have a receipt for the purchase. Dumb right. However, for some reason I previously took a photo of the stamped serial on the dome, before it got all covered in black grease and soot. Clean burn sometime soon.Ubi panis, ibi patria.

I know you don’t want to ship the parts to our houses where we actually need them but it would be nice if you could approve the warranty through BGE and ship the part to the closest dealer.South of Columbus, Ohio.
