Missing some elections; most people that vote only do so during presidential contests anyway so that's no surprise.
Turnout percentage during prez years has been pretty stable over the last hundred years or so. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the highest percentage of eligible voters in the last hundred years was 2020 at about 67%. Can't imagine what the excitement was that brought out so many that year.

That was a play on the Sunday morning talk shows and the consensus was a rookie mistake to engage with a voter. However, that is the battleground for the R's today. Sad state of affairs for that party.

The issue regarding audience has been a sticking post ever since the debate was offered and quickly accepted by Newsom.

He ran a campaign ad months ago that suggested he was a Navy fighter pilot. He used to suggest that he was with the Navy SEALS. Neither pilot nor SEAL - he was a JAG officer (aka lawyer).
Has campaigned against the "elites" yet he is a graduate of Yale and Harvard Law.
He frequently is seen wearing heel lifts but those in his cowboy boots seem more extreme than usual. Perhaps someone should follow Colonel "Madman" Maddox's order and "Check him for stilts" from now on.
