A few racks of baby back ribs and about 10 pounds of wings.

Just cooked up some chorizo with a can of black beans and a can of pinto beans, mashed and fried them together for a while until I have a good chunky paste.  Could end up as tostadas, or nachos or a dip, not sure yet.

that’s an overall win.  I wouldn’t watch save that Hurts grew up 20mins away, Mahomes 3hrs away (and is an Alumnus).   The TX/TX QB matchup will likely catch 20-30 mins of my attention.   Otherwise I’ll be drinking and conversing.

I need to know if the light poles are greased or not before placing my bet.

I am thinking I will do some poppers to go with the wings.  I will use both eggs, which is always fun!

I am just thankful that the two boys from Ames aren't playing.

Craving smoked venison gyros.  Not sure what I’ll actually do yet. 

Alton Brown’s recipe is what I go with every time for the meat mixture. Sometimes I’ll skewer them and sometimes I’ll just roll it into a log. Then either smoke indirect if in log form or raised direct if on skewers.

Wing packs from Costco were heavy with yuge drumettes, so I've got those marinating with some bs thighs in the Peruvian paste marinade.  Doing some classic crispy wings as well.  The thighs will be reserved for a Peruvian chicken pizza later in the week.

Chicken wings - 3 flavors on the joetisserie, rotel cheese dip and trying the best appetizer ever recipe from this forum. Can’t remember who to give credit to for that one.  Should be fun. Is it weird that we’re more excited about cooking and eating than the game?

I am looking forward to the second half, that's when it typically gets interesting.  But, until then, I am going to enjoy cooking and eating, for sure!

Apps are coming along nicely.  Stuffed mushrooms, stuffed peppers, and ABT's. 

(Ok, I ran out of bacon and had to stuff some with mushroom filling).

Made brisket chili and corn bread muffins (from a box). Happy with both. Washing down with Spotted Cow. Hope the game can stay interesting for the duration.

Way to nail the entire cook but the above are the winners for me.  May be a bit short in quantity right there.

The Peruvian wings turned out great - that green sauce, damn.

I found out the hard way that I have no Franks, so the second sauce was made with some Melinda's truffle hot sauce and some aji amarillo paste instead of the Franks.   

Shjt pic but good eats.  And I did end up adding a lot more sauce.

Pastrami from SRF wagyu corned beef. Un brined it soaking in cold water overnight. changed the water four times.

Damn good game, until the very end; that call against the Eagles kinda stained everything (and I was mildly rooting for KS).  Mahomes rawks.

Ended up having charcuterie and sandwiches. Best part was the national anthem IMO. I miss the beer frog commercials of the past.
