He knows he is not allowed on the furniture.  Even when I try to coax him on the bed or couch, he refuses.  He knows it is off limits.  This is what I woke up to this morning.  I know he sleeps here because as I get out of bed, he hears me and jumps down.  This is the first morning I "caught" him.  He played dead.

I slid the solid plastic cover on the dog door so I could mow and the dogs keep all of their paws. Then I went and carried the mower in the side gate , leaving it open. After 10 minutes of mowing I saw the old Boxer right at my heels. Two problems, first the young Poodle took the opportunity to go outside to hunt feral cats. Fortunately I have the “Come” command deeply embedded in him. Second the Boxer obviously showed the sheepadoodle how to nose up the plastic door. Now I have to pile stuff against the dog door when the backyard is off limits.

My plastic doggie door had a groove on each side, allowing me to slide an (included) aluminum sheet to block the door off.
The aluminum was hard to see behind the plastic sheet, and my Corgis banged their heads against it a couple times; finally wrapped it with yellow-black tape, and I hope they eventually forgave me.

No dog door here. My 13 rear old Britt barks to come in, my one year old britt opens the door to let him in. If I could teach him to close the door.......

Same 2 grooves but I guess plastic is cheaper than aluminum.

It’s been a very slow thawing of tensions between the boy and our three cats.  But this one (Luna) has warmed to him the most.  She’ll actually share the couch with him, but they’re both kind of walking that fine line between being curious about the other and also scared to death, which I think you can gather from the photo.

I am not, unfortunately.  When I jump in, the jacks jump in and chase me out, and the younger Aussie runs around the outside barking his fool head off.  The older Aussie just sits and watches bemused.

It’s his blood. He has a small cut on the bottom on his tongue. Said it would heal on its own if he stays calm. Sent us home with puppy Valium/ pain pills. No definite idea except that he has been taking an interest in the feral cats.

Glad it looks worse than it actually is.  Maybe he learned something.
