What’s everyone got planned for tonight?
Smoked and braised beef short ribs here, served over garlic and rosemary mashed potatoes. We’re having some family friends in the neighborhood over. Dinner here then moving to their house down the road for dessert.
Happy New Year’s Eve everyone!

Salisbury steakes with a mushroom wine gravy over mash tonight. Savory french toast with roasted tomatoes tomorrow morning with mimosas. Carbonara tomorrow night. Monday it's Ribeyes when the sun comes back. Just finished off a couple of SRF black flatirons now chilling. Will slice some thin and serve cold as an appetizer with horseradish sauce and chimichurri. At neighbor's house. (That which I don't offer will be enjoyed on the home-front).
Tomorrow I will crank out a small (12" pan) seafood paella.

Driving home, so dinner will be door dashed or picked up. Other supplies for tonight were purchased at the NH Liquor Store.Tomorrow will probably be grilled pork chops, black eyed peas, and whatever greens are available and still look good at the grocery store tomorrow AM.

Two briskets! Thought about boating them cause I’ve seen it in a couple videos but decided to braise them covered in aluminum pans. Will try foil boat next time. Been a while since I hosted anything for the family so wanted to egg something good!

@Calbbqer I see you boated your brisket! How does cook time compare with wrapping? Does it take a little longer that way?“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

No cooking, aside from experiments. We order a charcuterie platter from a friend, and just eat that. It has become a tradition in our house.

Well, we are going to go out, but daughter and SiL decided to stay so we're cooking. Store had crap steaks, so now doing short ribs as quickly as I can. Found a couple of instant pot recipes and mashed them up a little. Ribs are now swimming for 45 min or so. It felt like a cooking competition getting it all going quickly. Made a mess.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

@ColbyLang - Congratulations on the successful completion of another lap of the sun.🎂
Bonus as you were a great tax break upon arrival.
