And this link from the Washington Post regarding AR-15's thru a gift article:
Yep- we citizens need to take on the gun lobby.  But as is always the case, "Follow the $$."

This is a comment from one video of the shooting I watched.  Emphasis mine:

The Congressman from this area was chillingly dismissive. He said that there's nothing that can be done to stop it. When asked about his own daughter's safety he said "Oh, we home school her." From here in Wales I don't understand how this happens AT ALL, never mind regularly. The thought of my 6 yr old grandson taking part in an "active shooter drill" just does not compute. The fetishism of guns in America baffles me. In 1996, there was a school shooting in Dunblane, Scotland. Some laws were changed, others enacted. Number of school shootings since then? 0

I guess if you are insecure about your Richard, then you buy an AR-15 or other gun substitute for your Richardness.  And depending on where you live you can sport your Richard in public.
How far have we fallen as a society?  Polls will say quite a long way from core values such as patriotism, community and even religion.
Edit: In a brief moment of clarity this evening, I acknowledge it is all about "self."  And when one has no self-esteem then the trip down the wrong road gains momentum.  Fortunately not many hit the bottom and then act out in violent ways, but more than zero with today's gun laws is too many.  Off mini soap-box.

The red line is when the GOP allowed the assault weapons ban to sunset.

It's as if letting any yahoo that wants a high power/caliber rifle and high capacity magazines might create a problem. Who da thunk it?!!?

Not really a problem tho according to the GOP - all those innocent victims are just acceptable losses in worship of a greater cause.

I was just thinking the same thing.  It's hard enough to talk to my daughter (teaches 3rd grade) after one of these and I don't have to explain anything to her.

    That's nuts!

Is there a graph for countries that foreigners seek medical procedures at a reduced rate but get kidnapped and killed?

That chart is seriously eye opening - And all pre pandemic. Maybe worse with pandemic numbers.

Not really a problem tho according to the GOP - all those innocent victims are just acceptable losses in worship of a greater cause.

Actually the AR ban made no difference. For one, this graph doesn't say what weapon was used. Second, the ARs didn't disappear during the ban. Third, this graph could be totally made up.

Again, I'll throw out a little fact that you snowflakes can chew on. The Virginia Tech shooter was able to kill 33 people and wound many others with a .22 pistol and a 9mm pistol. Not an AR or any other scary black rifle. Does that even register in your little snowflake brains? These two handguns are on the smaller end of the spectrum as far as guns go.

So, lets say you get the AR ban you have such a hard on for. Then what? Well? What's the next step....? OK, you say more laws....Well what law has ever stopped anyone that wants to break it? Oh, a registry you say...more background checks. Yeah, that will surely do it. Oh, wait. You mean most of the shooters already bought the guns legally after passing a check or what did you say? Oh, they stole them. Dang it. Don't they know stealing is against the law?

So once again you wacked out libs don't have a clue on how to stop any of this. You are good at throwing guilt around and setting on a high horse but nothing of substance ever came from one of your thoughts.

We see anytime a government official or government building is attacked they seem to have answers for that. Like more security, fences, metal detectors, armed guards...Yet, we ALWAYS get push back from you snowballs if we want the same for children that are setting ducks. No, we can't have a school look like a prison. We would rather **** and moan about a gun being the problem and never really do anything to help. But keep up the good work......

  • The best thing...you can't debate what I wrote because its true. Two handguns can be as deadly or more as any AR in these situations.

The AW ban is just a way to get their foot in the door. They don't care to use the bodies of dead children to break the door open. They do not want a population that is armed....Period !
