irving is 2.89 this morning with their prepaid debit card. almost worth getting the card with the 60 cent savings compared to the other stations.  im not sure this is all a good thing. been watching steel prices and suppliers are starting to reduce stock with lower prices, they dont want to get stuck holding it when the demand slows down this winter thru next year. seems doom and gloom is starting again in the manufacturing world.

$3.15 and above here. The striking thing to me I've noticed in recent weeks is that diesel is almost always the same price as the lowest grade gas now after being much more for years (and much less for years before that)

And as far as lowest grade gas - I'm getting ripped off, I pay the same for 85 that everyone else pays for 87.

Maybe a better deal, since you're getting more energy content per gallon than 87 has.

gas is hovering around 3 dollars but did go up 10 cents last week for regular, the lowest its been over the last few years.

eggs was 4.69 last week for local jumbo brown eggs. i can get large white eggs for 3.69 per dozen at the same store and aldis had those for 1.99  a dozen smaller white eggs. i stick with the local jumbo brown.

there are eggs at 8.99 a dozen....cage free, organic, free range blahh blahh blahh......why would i pay that

the diners are adding 50 cents per egg so add another buckfifty for an omelette =) cost more for the credit card auto tip, pay cash and put the traditional change next to the plate =)

down to 3.88 for sunoco ultimate 93 and its an intestate high station. regular is 2.88 which is really low for up here. getting 23 mpg with the lexus gx v8 which is really surprising since we are still on winter formula.

2.79 for regular, the lexus is getting 24 mpg with the summer gas with the v8. just in time for the winter gas markup and the drop in mileage....whats the prices down south, just assuming its getting closer to 2 bucks

$2.56 to $2.79 from what I’ve seen locally (regular). Though I have been running on electricity for 4.5 years now, car and lawnmower.

The laws of supply and demand actually work, go figure.

pretty sure thats not it. we have an oversupply, demand since summer is down, and winter blend is cheaper to make(thats why they start making the blend in september and selling it so early)

since this post includes egg prices. the big demoulas chain has prices at 1.99/doz for jumbo. the big CEO was in the store pushing eggs in the egg aisle yesterday

It may not explain the recent uptick you're seeing, but it absolutely does explain why gas prices are down nationally compared to say... one year ago.

Here's the real question: are the lower gas prices a sign of good economic times?

good economic times have been on the slide pretty much for decades......

when the ceo approached me about egg prices my response was to get the beef prices down ;)
