Inflation hits

  • And I just sold my 2016 Yamaha Drive gas cart for $7000 cash.  My new 2022 Yamaha Drive2 will be here next month.  I only paid $6k for that 2016 PTV cart, and used it for 5 years.  This inflation thing is crazy!

What happened to your BLM sticker?
  • carey- BLM is “old news”.  Even the fake media quit talking about it.  Dems don’t hardly mention BLM anymore… they have their hands full with an incompetent president and a dis-functional VP whose staff just resigned. A White House in CRISIS MODE. BLM crashed and burned, and something new will rise up out of the ashes.

Democrat run cities learned that criminals keep criminalling even if you get rid of the police.  Turns out the police were not the problem.  Now they are trying to figure out how to undo the boondoggle they started.  Part of the strategy is to pretend BLM never happened.

Don't tell your problems to people.  80% of people don't care and 20% are glad you have them.

Is the Tucker email real, but all the ones outlining Brandon and Hunters corrupt grift fake? How about the daughters diary which describes her having to shower with her father as an adolescent?

The Tucker email IS funny and somewhat ironic, but the multitude of other stuff on the Biden laptop and in his daughters diary aren’t very funny to say the least.
  • Obviously you'd like to pick some kind of a fight with me, @pgprescott (Pete).  Whether it's responding to my posts that aren’t responses to you, mocking my role as an educator, or posting links to random Fox News attack pieces on Duke faculty, the intent is readily apparent.  I don't know what accounts for your newly acquired internet courage, probably an over-indulgence of bourbon, but whatever.

I suppose I should be flattered by all of this attention and that you got up at the crack of dawn on a Friday to respond to a throwaway post about Tucker Carlson of all people, but mostly it just seems galactically lame.  So I'm just going to go back to ignoring you.  Have a blessed day.

Is that a yes or a no?

It seems like a "let's change the subject cuz it exposes some things I wish not to discuss while trying to mock others".

Alright John, I'll just leave you alone to spew your one sided vitriol without pointing out your obvious hypocrisy from time to time.

Sh!tposting is your main purpose here. I simply reply to you and your texting buddies Doucheconoeery on occasion. BTW John, why must you resort to name calling ? It's very low brow.

Good day to you sir!  =)

YES! You are finally exactly correct. That is in fact why a child was there with a gun.

A giant failure of those charged with upholding the laws and public safety lead to terrible events. Not only in this instance, but all over the country.

Bravo for figuring it out, Bravo!

As a parent, would you want your child doing what KR did if his grandfathers bbq shop was near protests?

I absolutely would not want or allow any of my children anywhere near a scene like the one in Kenosha. I wouldn't want anyone that I cared for or even knew to have to endure that sort of disgusting behavior. I would want the police and or the national guard to properly uphold the law and civil order as they are sworn to do just that.

To call these things "protests" is another huge lie and a big part of the problem. It was called a riot in court by both the sides. I guess they didn't want to further insult the residents on the jury who lived through the criminal riots.

    Protests! LOL :o

Just take a minute and try to look at the issue from a few other perspectives. You should be angry,  but your anger should be directed at the paid people who were derelict at best.

If you find my comment that responded to your snarky comment to be "insulting everyone", well look in the mirror. I am genuinely astonished at the level of either intentional ignorance or unintentional ignorance displayed everywhere including so called news outlets. As ozzie said, he was shocked when he actually took the time to watch the facts unfold. I can tell you it was shocking. The prosecutors should be reprimanded at very least and possibly worse as they were caught on several occasions violating the defendants civil rights. That is in addition to all the outright lies told for months.

Maybe you should take the time to find out the truth and the facts and then get back with me for a reasonable discussion.

There were tons of guns there. many by rioters and many by non-rioters. Again, people are lead to believe otherwise, but the facts are the facts. The guy that perjured himself at the trial had an illegal handgun he pointed at KR that was the impetus for him getting shot by a legal gun. Crazy chit that should never have taken place because the people responsible for law and order were told to not maintain law and order. These sort of conditions continue today in many areas. Albeit, not quite to this extent. Shameful

I largely agree.  What I don’t understand is why he’s being celebrated as some kind of hero.  But maybe that’s just a reflection of the times we’re living in.

  • His courtroom performance was rather overdone, IMO. Not making light of the incident and its aftermath, but saw this and and thought it was apropos.

Well, apparently you’re on here enough to realize you’re one of the doods.  Funny how that works.

John- there are some nuts out there who will celebrate KR as a hero, most folks I have seen celebrate the law being upheld and the “social justice” mentality around it overcome when the facts were truly presented. The situation is just sad and stupid an so many fronts.  I strongly support self defense, but don’t approve of the stupidity, but there aren’t always laws against stupidity. I watched a chunk of the key testimony out of curiosity because I wanted to know how this even happened and what actually happened.

KR was a knucklehead for bringing a weapon. He was a knucklehead for being there. They all were stupid for going. Peaceful protest my ass. Doesn’t change what self defense is by the letter of the law.

We had the saaaaame sht go down here. BLM, a faction of the proud boys and the NFAC. They all open carried. Every last one of them had members with weapons. Knuckleheads, all of them. One of them (NFAC guy) had an accidental discharge while on their peace March. Congrats, felon in possession of a weapon. Back to jail you go

Laws are prosecuted in criminal court, stupidity is prosecuted in civil court.

  • I understand that this was mocked because people thought CNN was trying to suggest that setting fires is still peaceful, but that's not actually what happened.   The reporter shown there actually said that there had been peaceful protests earlier in the day, but that those stood in contrast to the scenes unfolding behind him.

But that doesn't jive with the narrative, so... keep on keepin on.

Pretty sure the tagline says all anyone needs to know.  This is a screen capture.  That is what CNN chose to display.  In many places CNN is on in the background with no audio.  Airport, Dr. Office, Shopping Center, etc.
