@lkapigian it is a piece of cake to fly, really cool tooling around with the goggles, its like your in the cockpit. Like what was mentioned before if you just let go of the sticks it will sit and hover, there is a brake button that locks it in place if you panic, and also a home button and you can preset the approach altitude to avoid trees and power line.
I flew it in some rowdy gusty winds yesterday and it handled it no problem, with the gimbal you really have no idea how bad its getting tossed around.
Also I can fly it around the barn lot and in between buildings with out losing signal
Thank you, just spoke with Carey , ordering one tomorrow....damn this place
Double check you aviation restrictions on where you plan to fly it. My parents live within 3 miles of a smaller airport and my dad has to call in each time he plans on flying it. (He knew this prior) Just a heads up on that.
All the drone software out there automatically doesn't let you fly into protected airspace.   At least all the drones that aren't toys have those protections.  Also, you ceiling will be limited to 400 ft from your takeoff altitude regardless of where you fly.  Range will be default limited but you can remove that limitation, this is just to protect new pilots from being idiots.

Correct. He has to call it in so it doesn't restrict/lock him out from flying it. I know he's mentioned that he hasn't had to call in the past few times when he's flown it. (He maybe does something online now that let's the airport know? I'd have to ask) I also want to say he's limited to 250 feet where he is located.

Like you said, this one the ceiling is set at 500m. But legally you are not allowed to fly over 400’

I just got the DJI FPV Combo, and it is awesome, absolutely having a ball with this thing.
That looks insane, saw a tester vid on YouTube where it was going 93 mph. Don’t blink.

Never shot a fish but every time I've shot it's been through a barrel.

My buddy was in Orlando last week doing a photography shoot and the guy he was working for just bought this drone from Costco.

My buddy Chris flies them professionally and he tried it out.  Said the camera took some beautiful pictures, he couldn't believe it was only $440.

Not that this drone comes anywhere close to the acrobatic performance of the DJI FPV, but the technology out there is insane for the money.

That's the one I bought. Having to return it already because the batteries are bad and won't hold a charge but Costco return is super easy. Already have the replacement on its way. Shot with it for a couple days and it is a fantastic product. I think I just got lemon batteries. It's super easy to maneuver and video and picture quality is outstanding.

You will have a blast. These things are friggin cool. The image quality is amazing for such a small sensor. Go to YouTube and watch videos on how to use them so you aren't going into it totally in the dark.

We have a bunch of DJI drones at work and they are fantastic.  We have a flight planning software for field mapping for making hi res elevation maps and for crop image mapping.  We also use them for taking testing videos chasing machinery across a field.  Before drones got cheap and cool we had a military grade on loan drone from some company who was toying with getting into the ag sector, but they were going to have to get cheaper. $50k drone that could essentially survive a 100m dead drop with the only expectation of fixes would be replacement props.

Good to hear @FarmingPhD ...of all the reviews give watched and read, the consensus was if you were and experienced FPV ( and I just learned what that was, thanks Carey ) and professional photographer , you would not like this drone , if you are inexperienced and wanted fly out of the box, easy to fly this is your drone....it excels in the manual mode above many others...im sure ill like it

I've been funding a lot of developing technologies like drones as I am usually an early buyer of the stuff.  Without idiots like me, the would be 5 years behind.
