@dmchicago - Twenty plus years ago the great plan was to "declare victory whenever that was" and move back to a house we owned in San Diego. The politics of the state got to the point that we decided, No way. Sold it and here we are...
I don't play "what if" so I'm fine with where we landed (yes a great job offer was a major influencer). You will weigh it all and decide.

Unfortunately those thoughts and half baked ideas will become even more prevalent as the run up to the 2022 election continues. It is scary that people with those perspectives are running for Congress. But it will be even more concerning should any more than we have in the House now get elected.
I am wondering where their talking points originate from...but upon further thought could it be Mar-a Lago? It is Friday...

We are potentially doomed as a democracy if propaganda and conspiracy replaces facts, especially if people are buying it and getting elected to power in government. What is happening with the populace in Russia is happening here.

The narrative of “fake media” as applied to actual media and vice versa has been ingrained into a large group.

I see it here from people who I otherwise respect has having level heads.

The people that voted for Trump must have perfect streets.

The rest of us have **** streets, they're always being patched, so we see all the construction signs, the barrels, and the cones, and have been conditioned over time to equate anything orange in color, with a really bumpy ride ahead, so we didn't vote for him.

When they say privilege is going to ruin America, this is exactly what they're talking about. It's the privileged people that have all the perfect streets, and that almost killed the country. Still might ...
