I was in Costco today and they had packages of these with a wet garlic rub on them. Has anyone cooked these before? If so, how did you cook them and did you like them?
Thanks,
James

Did you have a photo to share? I’d be curious to see them.

Is there sugar in the rub? If so, indirect @350ish. If no, raised direct in the 425 range~ John - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

if they're wet, I'd lay them on a rack, and let them dry a bit (overnight, in the fridge).#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

Image is attached. Yes for sugar and they are wet.

I usually steer clear of the preseasoned stuff in the meat counter.South of Nashville - BGE XL - Alfresco 42" ALXE - Alfresco Versa Burner - Sunbeam Microwave

No experience with these, but most seasoned meats and rubs from Costco are much too salty for me.

i guess i will wing it (pun intended) and see what happens.Going to go raised indirect 425 for an hour or so.

Yes. I went raised indirect around 375°. If memory serves me correctly it was closer to 45-50 mins total - flipping half way through. They were pretty tasty.

thanks

With sugar in the rub you probably want to keep the temp down. It will burn if it gets above 300 or so. I wouldn't cook at a temp much above that.
