Lemon pepper lavender rubbed King Salmon with Minnesota lake rice and broccolini.

What is Minnesota Lake Rice?  Wild rice?  Looks too light colored for Wild Rice but it could be the light

Grilled Conecuh Sausage with Loubia (Moroccan white bean stew)

I went thru the sausage section of my Commissary carefully this week and found Conecuh-brand sausage, which I remember a couple folks here recommending.  Also wanted to try the bean stew recipe, from the Spain on a Fork channel.  Both were great.

That’s Alabama sausage. I’m surprised you found it near you.

only place near me that has it is Hanscom AFB in bedford ma.  the military has a connection

Thank you,  wish I could take credit.  I just reused what she made and they did not disappoint 😃

Wow @Ozzie_Isaac! The meal your friend made is itself a study in flavors, but you didn't slack either.

High praise from you my friend!

The other day we had homemade kimchi, bok choy, rice and a poached egg.  Another flavor bomb. She sets the bar pretty high and I am having to up my game. Terrible colors from flash on phone, don’t do the dish justice.

lol, which one? Paella/Jumbalaya or the very spicy Mexican meal?  So many good moments in that show.

Sooo @Canugghead can you please point us in the direction of this lean pork loin bacon recipe? I’m guessing it’s amazing.

@johnmitchell Thanks, like I said, quite happy but still has lots of room for improvement.
@ColbyLang The surface is super slick but I still coated with margarine for good measure. Next time I'll try paper towel soaked lightly with canola oil.
@caliking Thanks, still learning from all the great cooks here.
@BeanHead Sorry to disappoint, nothing special, here's a link to how I did it in the early years. In recent years I got lazy and cure with just Readycure (cure with added salt) and nothing else.

@Canugghead if I may suggest, brush the Pullman pan with softened butter. Then, sprinkle flour all around it. Knock out any excess flour, and lay the dough in it. You could give the inside of the sliding top the same treatment, depending on proof time, and whether you want a rounded top vs. flat top for your loaf.

You could use the baking spray that has aerosolized  oil + flour in it, but I feel it has an off taste. Plus, one more thing to buy.

And, buttah is always bettah

Edit: Just remembered that you have professional bakery experience, so I may be preaching to the choir!

Completely forgot finished/served food photos, hoping some of my friends got some.

SV Steak seared with grill gun

Roasted Baby Beets tossed with apple cider vinegar, red onions, and orange slices

Sautéd Mushrooms with shallots and butter

Glazed carrots in a legit manual pressure cooker

    Poblano Pepper rice

    Finished with SV Crème Brûlée.

(Most dishes from Anthony Bourdain and also Modernist Cuisine)

Lots of fun and laughter with friends!

Chaos was epic … cooking with friends is like learning a new dance.

Also, some photos were taken! (Before we remembered to serve the mushrooms too 🤣)
