I was curious about Canadian home mortgage rates and it looks like you guys have to refinance every 1-5 years? I know yours is probably paid off at this point but I was just curious about this. Are there fees like closing costs and appraisals every time you refi?
Thanks for the response @poster. It seems like a system designed to keep you constantly in debt and protect the banks. On the upside I guess people would not sit on their 2.5% mortgage for 30 years limiting the available housing. Again I think the banks are the winners there too.
It's a strange world, before COVID I refinanced for 20 at the 2.5. since then the camp value is up 400 to 500 percent
Eventually tax increases are going to force that move, I don't want to make that movefukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
Corporate purchases of housing has driven up prices across the board. A couple years ago, 1/3 of all houses sold in Georgia were bought by corporations.

That is 6.97 to 7.31 CDN or 4.84 to 5.07 USD (convert litre to US liq gal and then exchange rate of 1.44). Usually the highest gas prices in North America around here. Doesn't impact me, but the sticker shock trickles down. Some of my team can't justify driving into work and have moved to public transit for a 60 - 90 minute commute each way.
Our natural gas pricing is about to jump 17% tomorrow. That one will hit me a bit.~~

Out of all the Momofuku noodles, the Tingly Chili Wavy Noodles are the ones I prefer.
On the chili crunch/crisp front, I prefer the Lao Gan Ma chilli crisp (4$) over the momofuku chili crunch (20$).
I usually pimp my noodles with cubes of short ribs. Today, I used cubes of leftover prime rib roast.

WD 40 collects dirt and dust more than a lot of lubricants. I started buying garage door blaster several years ago and it seems to be the easiest. I blew a spring on a tilt up 25 years ago and that left an impression on me. Have paid attention ever since. I still don't know why it failed.Love you bro!

( actually, thanks for the pointer, and thanks to @Legume for the tip on garage blaster over WD-40. For a catch-all, WD-40 is great, but when a better product exists, I'm happy to try it).~~

Most OEM’s recommend engine oil in the industrial world. The best way to apply is a spray bottle or paint paint brush.

I feel like I got ripped off paying $6.50 for reverse tail lights that were half off when comparing it to my other purchases!
