Picked up a Colt Python today.  6" barrel.  This nearly completes my snake gun collection.  Pictures coming after the waiting period.

Stumbled across it while looking for blacksmithing info actually.  Not sure how they tie together, but the great google gods see a connection.

Basic 2 channel oscilloscope. I found it “used” on Amazon. The description said it would have blemishes. Swear it must be brand new.
So it measures the oscillation of a fan?

That color combo is sweet if it matches your color scheme. I'd be all over it. It looks really nice.

@northGAcock exactly! Unfortunately it doesn’t make noises which bums me out. So I have to say “beep beep boooooop beep” while the lights are blinking.

Here's our current setup. It's got a lot of yellows and golds, so I think I can make the antique brass handle work, just not sure about the greyish-blue door.  We've got dark slate tiles floors (which I'm not a huge fan of) so not sure if that matches or clashes with the painted oven door. I don't have an eye for these sorts of things.

  • @SonVolt if you have a straight on picture of the blue star I bet you could easily photoshop it into your current setup and see how it would look. My first thought is that blue is going to blend with your floors and the gold/bronze is going to clash with your countertops. I think that blue needs a light colored floor that would show the contrast and make that blue pop. Just my thoughts. We went through the same thing recently when we dropped too much on a new range. Regardless you are going to love it.

So you are replacing the casework also?  Or are you buying the 30 inch version.

I'm far from any type of interior decorator but I don't see anything that would look out of place with that color combination. It fits right in with your backsplash and countertop colors.

I'd be ordering the 30" version vs 36" shown above. So no built in griddle and I'd lose 2.8 inches of interior oven width. BTUs on the top are the same @ 25,000. The infrared broiler is insane. The Wolfs and Vikings looked really nice too, but the burners looked undersized by comparison.

Picked up some accessories for the pressure washer.  This stuff adds up.  I'm up to $750 including the hose and surface cleaner I ordered.

Spent 6 years in the Navy calibrating and repairing oscilloscopes as well as other test equipment. The scopes were mainly Tektronics and HP back then and did not have a USB port. Transistors were cool back then as opposed to vacuum tubes. Good times.

    @Langner91
72 hours for handguns.  (24 for long guns, so if you really need a gun fast, better buy one with a shoulder stock that doesn't shoot pistol ammo!)  Those are Illinois' laws.  This gun was in Illinois, so I have to follow their waiting period before having it transferred to my dealer.  If Colt wheel-guns weren't such unicorns right now, I wouldn't deal with all of this hassle and extra cost.

Here in Iowa, as long as you get a permit to acquire or permit to carry, all guns are cash and carry as the background check is instant.  Still have to fill out all the same forms.

The gun itself isn't back ordered? I thought at one point they were months if not a year out on the wait list.

The dealer I bought it from got two in this week.  I had put my name on his list back in October.  Back then, he told me they would be here "any day".  What a mess.

@SandyHookEgger From what I gather, Tektronix and HP are still Cadillac stuff.  But the capabilities of an entry level scope now are way beyond what a hobbiest like me needs!  That USB on the front is just for saving images.  The darned thing has USB on the back for hooking up to the computer, as well as an ethernet jack! The trace I needed to get is now got. Pink trace is RF output from a transmitter, and it continues 4 ms after it's supposed to stop.  Darn. @bradleya123 whoa!  i am not working on anything near as cool as a F4!!

Great advice. Here's some shoddy photoshopping. I think the antique brass looks ok, but it could technically "clash", idk.  The wife loves the painted door, I like the all stainless... this could get bloody.

  • Sonvolt that pic looks great, your wife is right about the painted door. Also, if your handle implies SonVolt is the better “post Uncle Tupelo” band versus Wilco then I say you are right on that.  Wilco is more commercially successful but oh well.
