Solenoid valve for dishwasher?______________________________________________I love lamp..

No, has a hose connection….must be a washing machine, although those are often paired up for hot and cold.______________________________________________I love lamp..

Dishwasher. I think this is the problem. The last two dishwashers I have installed/had used the 3/4" garden hose threads. Maybe so they can sell a nifty brass elbow for another point of failure?Large, Medium, MiniMax, 36" Blackstone

If it has 0 or infinite ohms resistance, it’s bad. Easy way to check is measure the voltage going to it when it should be filling. If you measure 110v, the valve is bad. If you have no voltage, it’s probably your fill level switch or one of the interlocks.______________________________________________I love lamp..

That’s off the top of my head. I’m sure there can be other problems, some specific to the model______________________________________________I love lamp..

My suspicions revolve around the extremely hard water that goes into this particular dishwasher. It's well water. It has not been used in probably 9 months. I may soak it in vinegar. Not the whole solenoid just the valve. For my initial test I just disconnected the dishwasher hose from the other side of it and I felt it should be flowing water immediately upon starting a cycle and it wasn't.Large, Medium, MiniMax, 36" Blackstone

That’ll do it. Water softener may help with the scale.______________________________________________I love lamp..

@kl8ton I just went through this with a refrigerator icemaker/water valve. Mine passed the resistance test and had no flow just like your test. Repair Clinic had several YouTube videos, etc that got me to that point. Their price and shipping was fair via a web search review. Replacement arrived in a couple days and worked immediately. If the soak works great but probably still worth getting a good price plug and play replacement for a zero outage future.

Maybe a new air compressor. Mine won't build more than 30 psi. I found a below the shrouding spring valve was stuck and thought I had got it. No such luck. With the power off it holds 30 psi so I'm guessing the pump is gone.
