Looks like a really nice find!WeberWho said:I scrolled through Marketplace looking for anything BGE related and saw an ad for a brand new Mini for $350. I kept scrolling as that wasn't much of a deal. A few days go by and I see the ad once again for the new BGE Mini. I actually slow down and look at the photos for a split second. That doesn't really look like a Mini but his pictures weren't very good to judge the overall size of the BGE as it was sitting on his tailgate of his truck. My next thought was that it could be a Minimax. Which wouldn't be a bad deal for $350. I have no real desire to own a Minimax so I kept scrolling. This was all in a matter of a few seconds when scrolling through Marketplace. Now 5 days after his initial posting I see that he has dropped the price down to $225. So I stop on the ad to see what he really is selling. Marketplace won't let you zoom in on pictures so I went with items around it for sizing. The base looked too big for a MiniMax. I took a screen shot on my phone and was able to zoom in and focus on the band assembly box. I saw this:
Boom! I knew it wasn't a Mini. It was either a MiniMax or a Small for $225. I couldn't pass it up for the price. I told the owner I'd buy it. I asked him for dimensions and I received a picture showing 15" for the base. I went out and got the same reading on my Small BGE. I was able to confirm before heading out to pick it up this morning.
The previous owner said he won it through Ducks Unlimited and had no need for it. A real nice guy.Lawrenceville, GA -

The finger hole made me think spinning action, like a pipe cutter. but the inside edge of arm is thin not ideal for positive contact so it must fit into something. @fishlessman had me thinking automotive, I thought that clamp groove would fit in a piston ring slot and here we are.

my first thought was valving or springs but that fitting on the end looked like a compression fitting for tubing

Snow blower. The locals want $250-300 per driveway plow...nope. My options are buy a plow for my truck or get a snow blower. Snow blower is more fun, besides if I had a plow friends and family would drive me nuts

While I never thought I’d own one, I picked up a 30” 306cc Briggs and Stratton during summer clearance. All decked out with heated handles. Really got it for a steal. Less than half price. I now suspect it may actually have been a store error - even the same model I’ve seen discounted elsewhere is going for a good $650 or more above what we paid. We’ve had an unusually green winter to date and I’ve only gotten to use it once, but it was really quick and efficient. Even got to some elderly neighbours’ driveways without breaking a sweat. They can be fun.ColtsFan said:Snow blower. The locals want $250-300 per driveway plow...nope. My options are buy a plow for my truck or get a snow blower. @ColtsFan - should your purchase be an investment against the snow gods I am with you all the way. One can hope.ColtsFan said:Snow blower. The locals want $250-300 per driveway plow...nope.
