  • Saw this at the same gas station as above. No license plate needed, I guess. This thing sounded amazing and he was happy to throttle it up for us a few times. No clue what model but it was pretty.

Went car shopping today.  Had an online cash price offer from a dealership for a Ford Bronco Raptor.  Showed up to buy it and they said that price didn't include a $25k market adjustment.

Yup.  Filled out everything, brought in their paperwork that they sent and then they said, "ummm, yeah so about that ...."

I said this is a toy, I am not in a hurry and will just wait.  They said if I was serious, they would drop it to $20k MA only.🤣.

At that price I will take a GLE 63 S AMG or a GLE 580.

I really wonder how many people they get to fall for this type of stuff. When I was truck shopping a few years ago, I test drove one I liked but we couldn’t agree on the price so I walked. Right before I left they said this truck’s going to auction next week we would rather sell it to you yada yada. They called me a month later asking if I was still interested in that truck. Needless to say I bought from a different dealer.

I would have flipped about at $25k mark up too!

What flavour (nod) Mercedes is that @Ozzie_Isaac?  Not a M-B fan but that looks sharp.

    AMG GLE 63 S Coupe.

I hate how Mercedes does their model numbers and names.

They should just name them by price.  There’s the MB 50K, the MB 90K, and the MB ALLTHEK, for example.

Thanks for the above.  Around two decades ago, BMW's were pretty closely matched with the series number; 3, 5, 7. for new car price points.  Since then, many more models and much elevated $$-as it is with everything.

Calling any vehicle with four doors a coupe should have been nipped in the bud about 20 years ago.  Maybe future generations will correct the inexcusable error in good judgement.

Nice try but a coupe is a two door (total doors) model. The deal for me is the number of pillars. And there are differences of opinion.

"Most coupes do have a "B" pillar although their B pillars may be "thinner" than sedans' because their structural requirements are reduced vs sedans' due to lower and shorter roof and no rear door opening. They are also often hidden behind or visually "blended in" with the side rear window.

    And then there is this:
"Coupes have nothing but A-pillars and C-pillars. In order to hang a door, you have to attach the hinges to something. Obviously, the front doors attach to the A-pillars. In a sedan or SUV, the rear doors attach to the B-pillars."
For me, no coupe or however you finesse it has four doors.

So call it what you want and no worries as I doubt you will engage in any car pillar
     conversations.
    Edit for spelling.

That is okay, they make a Tesla for you.  Cheaper, performs better, but is soulless.

Wow.  I remember when they used to build the Eclipse there.  Also did some contract builds for other manufacturers.

Pretty sure Talon was just a rebadged Eclipse.  So that makes sense.
