“…lackluster Ferrari…” is not a term heard in my ‘hood.

My FIL was bored so he bought a 66 Grand Prix. He just finished rebuilding the 389 the other day. It runs like a sewing machine. He’s a Sheldon Cooper with it comes to cars and engines in particular.

My son owns a detailing business and hosted his first car show today. I didn't take many pics. Proud of that kid. Probably 30-40 cars featured. Many that he detailed.

great idea double- we had a great great day there with zero planning ahead.
downtown was busy / bumper to bumper but we found a parking spot a block or two away. there are tons of places to eat, the easiest “no wait” option is mountain fresh grocery. they have great pizzas, a grill, etc. everything. and $400 bottles of wine right by the checkout. https://mfgro.com/
on the way up we did the mountain coaster.

@DoubleEgger - I have been doing extensive reading regarding the Great Loop. I bought the book you served up as a teaser. Great read and quite enticing. Even was surfing the boat buy-I did live aboard in Benicia, CA (straight shot thru SF Bay to the Pacific) on a Westsail 32' (Plan A) before Plan B (the sea anchor...) which is where I/we am/are now with boats, never mind in flyover country. So, it's not gonna happen.
However, age and reality set in and I will enjoy thru your journey and posts down the road.
I truly hope you will make this happen.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), storage always seems to be the issue. I’m glad I don’t own a 60x100 out building. I’d be broke if I did.

why? isn't that where impulse purchases are typically placed by a store?~~

I must be hanging with a cheap crowd and in cheap stores. "Spend $400 for wine as an impulse buy" isn't a thing in my circles (with maybe one friend who is an exception).
