I'm not too optimistic the Saints can win with Brees coming of a month rehab for a bunch of broken ribs on both sides and a collapsed lung.  But if anyone can make that level of comeback against the number 1 team, it's Drew.

We participate in a call service for the visually impaired. Most of the time the calls are something like “I’m in my closet and needing a blue shirt” or the person is at the grocery and needs to know which product on the shelf to grab. Tonight I had one that made my night. The person really needed us to tell them the Saints vs Chiefs score. She said her computer stopped giving her the play by play right after the fumble/safety. 

I offered to stay on the call with her and to do my best play by play analysis. I told her that I had some pretty good jokes too 😂

she kindly declined

It was still pretty heavily smoked, but edible. The wife enjoyed it more than me.

Finish done, drawer slides and handle need installed and the top is just setting on it for the photo.  Christmas for our family tomorrow so I have my todo list set. I did a poor job of staining that looks fine from this side but looks bad from the opposite. Know which way to mount the top for sure.

@FarmingPhD - We are our own harshest critics and I get that with cooking, but that furniture piece is beautiful and will be appreciated for the duration.  Glad you were able to share a bit of the woodworking on a few Friday Zoom sessions.  
Congratulations on getting it finished against the challenges and calendar.

Not accessible from the back but there is quite a bit of storage behind those doors on both sides. I have about a foot to the right of the right hand door and almost a foot to the left of the left hand door and it’s almost 3ft deep. I could probably store 2 propane tanks, and 4-5 bags of charcoal plus some bbq tools inside. I left a gap between the doors for ventilation also because even though I’m sure it’s fine, I want to be safe considering I’m using it to store a propane tank and bags of charcoal.

We are feeding the local high school staff tomorrow.  We did it once before and they requested the same menu - pulled pork with pound cake for dessert.  This is my small contribution along with Ms. B's pound cakes.

@lousubcap thanks and very kind words.  Solid hardwood furniture always has a good lifespan and I know my daughter will be thrilled.  She literally asked mom for one for Christmas at the end of last week, meanwhile I’ve been working on it for a month.  

The finish issue, after I had half an hour to think about the cause, I was just frustrated because it could have been prevented with <5 min of extra prep.  Oh well, as my wife says about all my projects, you eventually won’t remember the defect, or that you even made it  .

A slight chance my trailer might see some use this week. I don't think I've put more than 100 miles on it in the last 2-3 years. I cleaned and repacked the bearings on it tonight. It didn't necessarily need it but more or less for the piece of mind. The buddy bearings really do a nice job keeping everything greased.

All trailers suck.  There are years where the trailer needs more work than the boat.

Smoked cheese is ideal for fondue.    OK, it's a bit of 70's nostalgia - but it's melted cheese with meat.  What can go wrong?   

For any fellow UK readers, fondue is inextricably linked in my mind to pampas grass.   I think we all know what I am saying there.

Ah, they are beagles (can see it in the left guy's face now).  
When I retired eleven months ago it was my plan to throw a sleeping bag onto the back of the motorcycle and just, go.  I got as far as Sedona, and slinked back when the 'Rona hit.  Want to hold off on adopting a couple more roommates until its no longer safe for me to ride; I want to see as much of the country, and Canada, as I can first.
