Installing a Ring alarm system and am not happy with the door/window magnetic contacts, they are designed for the frame, so if both panes move they expect you to install two sets of contacts ?
So I decided to not use the frame and put it on the seam where the two panes overlap. Problem is the magnetic piece is too thick and impedes normal operation.
For sliding windows, problem solved by flipping the magnet on its side...
For patio door, problem solved by using a thin magnet from a fridge clip...
(I know 1/4" thick neodymium bar magnets would be ideal but I'm not going through the hassle of ordering pack of 10 from Amazon for $20 when only one piece is needed

OT question on an OT thread:
I finally changed out the burned-out lightbulbs in my frig. They were both clear glass. Went to lowe's and couldn't find equivalents, but did find some the same size, in "frosted white", kinda colored like Ivory dish soap except Ivory is now clear.
Bought two, installed, and they work fine, so far (~7 hours). Is there a reason frig bulbs are clear glass, initially?___________"When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about to set."

Driving my Large to live with my Mini in Santa Rosa Beach. The first uhaul was so loaded only the Mini made the trip. This time one of Larges will be at the new house.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).
