An aside, was at Costco today, no TP, paper towels or disinfecting wipes to be seen.  There was enough bottled water to fill a Olympic Pool.  Not sure what that portends, they did have the items I was after.

I think making this political is a mistake.  This virus does not give a sh!t who you voted for in the last election.

Dr. Fauci, one of the foremost leading experts in disease, anywhere, testified to Congress this week that this is definitely NOT “the flu”.  It has a lethality rate of ten times what a typical flu does.  And it’s primary difference is how quickly it is spreading.  There is a reason that people with fundamental training in math and biology are freaking out right now, and it has to do with exponential growth of a contagion in a population.

Prolly should not be looking at this from a political standpoint.  Most would agree we have good numbers on well worn illnesses and resultant mortality rates.  Not so much on this new virus.  Again, caution should prevail until facts are learned.

I work for local gubmint.  The brain trust is deciding how to keep essential services like the sheriff’s department running.  My department usually goes to work to estimate value of damaged property after a destructive widespread storm.  There’s no damage to estimate so we would probably be considered nonessential.
