No work travel to Italy, just to avoid the whole self isolation thing. Otherwise, nothing. I was in London on the tube last week. Thousands of people all jammed in. Thousands of hands on grab rails / seats / arm rests. No wash rooms anywhere. It's going to spread in cities, it's inevitable.

God speed everyone with the germ dodging ...

Speak to your doctor about boosting your immune system. The virus doesn't kill you, but rather depletes your immune system to let another bug come in for the kill..

at least that's what the google has told me....

I'm supposed to go on a cruise at the end of the month.  We'll see how this plays out.  Oof.

Traveling from FL to MI  this week, stopping at many truck stops.

At the end of March 3 of my sons and I head to Guatemala on a mission trip.  We layover in the ATL so I think all will be well.

I’ll just point out that attending Butt Blast will be a surefire way to stop this virus in its tracks.  No virus can take that many bourbon slushies.
I must admit that I am largely ignorant as to the goings-on at said event, but this so-called blasting of butts sounds ripe for the spreading of communicable disease.
What rock have you been living under, my friend?  The butts are totally pasteurized.  The patrons are pickled, and the petting zoo animals are shivering in fear.
This is so hilarious. I almost dropped my hand saitizer while removing my respirator over my tin foil hat from laughing so hard.

Nothing beyond being mindful on hand washing.  Flew to BWI (and back yesterday) and only saw three people wearing masks.  Since I reside in "flyover" country I figure this will be that last section of the country to get it.  And I agree it is going to morph into a flu like disease going forward.
Been getting the flu shot for decades and not the flu so once a vaccine is out there, just one more shot on the schedule.  FWIW-

Good advice so far for those preparing in case the situation gets worse.  One item not touched on, if you have pets remember to include their care in your plans.

I'm flying to Toronto for work in two weeks. I'm a little concerned, but the company policy is that travel is on unless the who restricts it. I'm reluctant to cancel because of work and not doing my job....
Here is a survival tip.  Good luck, you'll probably be fine.

We did not stock up due to worries from the virus, but we took this as an indicator that we need to be more prepared.  Getting our long term sustainability in order has been a concern of ours for some time.   We went in advance of the craziness and got our food and household supply up to three months.  I have never had three months of shampoo, TP, food, or deodorant, but I do now.  We are both in our 40's and are not at huge risk of fatality.  My job allows telecommuting, but my wife helps with our son's school and probably receives 100 hugs a day from children.  We both have parents in the groups that are at highest risk.  We worry most for them.  Unfortunately there will be people that lose their lives from this that some of us know.  Hopefully the precautions taken so far, and each individual in the advanced age group can avoid this disease.  I work with a few people in their 60's that are concerned, and I am concerned for them too.
  • Probably not preparing as much as we should.  Right now couldn't make it 14 days without trips to the grocery store.  Good excuse to go to Costco, because that brisket could feed everyone for a few days, lol.  I work at the COSTCO chicken plant and we can't get their product out fast enough.

  • I have been on planes 6 of the last 13 days. Flying home from Sarasota FL as I write this where people have confirmed cases and others are quarantined because they were in contact with them. Good Times. Planes to Fl were half empty which never happens. There were crews at DFW sanitizing all the gate areas when I was there. A huge trade show I attend in Chicago was cancelled (it draws over 100,000 people from all over the world) and we have had several customers ask us and all their other vendors not to visit until further notice. It is a bit spooky out there but, again, there are certain people who are more at risk than others. If it attacked livers instead of lungs, I would probably be dead by now.

My flight from Sarasota to Charlotte I sat next to an 80 year old woman who went to FL from OK on vacation and spent 3 days in the hospital from “being sick” for the whole 10 day trip.

I figure at this point, If I don't get it, it can’t be gotten.

I am not planning any more travel until I understand the scope f things a little better. I need a rest from all this crap anyway.

Not planning any travel at this time, but not really doing anything different in my day to day schedule.  With 11 deaths to date in US, I am not hoarding food or medical supplies.  It’s just a shame what the Dems are trying to do to use this as a political game against Trump.  Shame on Pelosi and Schumer.

Since you seem to think this is some political hoax, why not take a trip to Wuhan, or maybe a sweet cruise.  I hear it's very affordable right now.

Interesting posts providing a perspective as to why the purchase of N95 masks by average Joes is not only of no benefit in protecting one’s own health, but also detrimental to broader public health efforts.
