The only things I really miss about living in Texas are BB Cookies and Cream, Whataburger and being able to go to Astros games whenever I wanted. BB was here in Vegas when we moved, but haven't been back since the listeria incident.

Salt and vinegar potato chips. The more bite the better.

Horseradish and cheddar potato chips, again, more the bite the better.

Friendly’s Vienna mocha chunk ice cream.

The cheesesteaks I make on sat nights. I used to always make two, I had to cut back to one.

Not big on the sweet stuff so for me a big bag of potato chips and a bucket of dip is something I'll do once a year as a guilty pleasure.

When I had a hankering for something sweeter these damn little things used to really provide the fix I need:
Haven't had one of those in a couple of decades but since this thread started they are all I can think about so a box of them will just happen to fall into the cart next time grocery shopping.

@HeavyG I love those too. And the $.99 package of iced oatmeal cookies. You know, the ones that you can almost break a dam tooth on.

Thanks @Carolina Q.  Fortunately for me the nearest Aldi's is 85 miles away (yes, I looked).

And we haven't actually bought any Samoas for at least 5 years.  Dieting definitely takes place at the store - because once it is in the house it's all over.
@FoghornHard to believe the there are no Aldi's in a city the size of SA! My town pop is under 30K and my Aldi's is 2 miles away, another is 12 miles in another town and yet another, 12 miles in the opposite direction! Their distribution center is only 6 miles from my house.

I buy Aldi Samoas once every 2-3 months or so. That's about it. If I gain weight, it ain't because of cookies! Haven't even opened yesterday's purchase.
They are just getting to Texas. They will be everywhere in 2 years. Once they open a dc that covers a new area, they expand rapidly.  We just got our first In austin (the one foghorn is likely talking about) last year. They are opening 400 stores a year in the US and remodeling 300-400 a year as well. We sell them stuff and when they buy, they buy for 400 more doors than they have and give us the locations later as they open  they are on a roll.

As I spin the Jalapeno artichoke dip container around to read up on the nutrition facts, I see a serving size is 2 TABLESPOONS.  Hmmm...I can fit that on one chip!  Servings per container 25 . . . . and yes, I just ate the fat gram equivalent of 5 big macs.

    This
This reminds me.  When I was a teen I hung around a body shop that a friend’s dad owned.  We fart around with my old ‘66 mustang, eventually we actually painted it.

Ahyhoo, the owner made green boiled peanuts.  Apparently, I ate my share because he said, (in his cross between creole and redneck) “boy, you keep eatin dem nuts an you’ll be shîttin o’er da moon!”
