Not yet in the attic with a few bottles of warm water, a long fading buzz, a chain saw that won't start, and a pocket knife from woot! that probably just about paid for itself.
Probably not, definitely not, a chance greater than a 0.001 percent. But people are skeerd. (here) And when people are skeerd, suddenly it will turn into Florida. Or something, no offense to FL, they just have lots of people and a legal mandate to make public any police action. (note to people: hyperbole)
I digress. Please, in context of your household, list the preparedness you have currently and the supplies and provisions you would need/like to survive an upcoming apocalytic event. I find this exercise can be good for team building and soul exposure.
Do you have a generator or 5? Caloric intake graphed over time: when do you die of starvation or start looting? Booze: how long will you last? Water is down: what vegetation can you "rambo" into drinking water with a vice grip? Personal hygiene: where do you/what do you do when there's an impending fiber induced deuce? Neighbor's yard? (better than your yard (i would say yes))
When does the greater good turn into personal survival that's antithetical to others?
This is just a forum denizen exercise designed as a personality test, no relationship in any way to my current situation.

I'm good food-wise; I still have a few hundred cans of tuna leftover from Y2K.Some of the cans are bigger than when I bought them a decade or so ago. I guess that is just the tuna inside growing over the years so my six ounce cans now have ten ounces of fish. Strange, I am not a prepper by intent, but we will be alright. I like our chances for survival.

Well I figure that I will live one or two months longer than my supply of prescription medications so no problems. Besides the looters from New Orleans will kick in my door before I run out.

I just checked, and have 500+ lbs of lump. I’m good.
Seriously though, I hope y’all are ok. I still have Harvey PTSD, even though we made it through unscathed. You made it through Katrina, which was much much worse. Stay safe, my friend.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
I am troubled even suggesting this Brother, but consider avoiding fiber until the sewage coast is clear. Cheese, cheese, more cheese.

I have 4 cases of MREs, lots of water, lots of frozen meat, and about 800 pounds of lump and 100 pounds of briquettes.

@fishlessman dude, you live in a world that's a cross between a Stephen King novel and 50 Shades of brown. That's nuts! (or nutty in consistency)
