We were just talking about this at work.  I like bourbon, but I swing more at Makers Mark, Woodford & Four Roses.  I don’t remember the last time I drank Jim Beam.

FWIW, Beam makes Maker's Mark (and Knob Creek, Booker's and Basil Hayden)

Hard to believe losing almost 12 million bottles of bourbon, at any age, will not effect supply, somewhere down the road.
Good for them.

Edit: that is a potential number, depending on how long they let it sit, and the weather conditions. The volume drops due to evaporation, or what is called the "angels share". Volume can go as far down as a 75% loss.

I use Jim for mixing (well maybe not anymore). But this all seems to be an elaborate ruse to promote this sucker

JB Black isn’t a bad choice for cocktails IMO. It’s plenty drinkable.

I’m thinking @stlcharcoal may want to make a trip to KY and secure some potential “charcoal”. Can be sold at a premium considering it would be bourbon barrel charcoal.

Same white oak.....they make those barrels about  20 minutes away.

I agree.  Not bad on the rocks either in a pinch if you like the Beam brands, which not everyone does. I saw a picture that showed the fire was in an Old Crow warehouse. I don’t know when they decide which barrels go to the premium brands. If this is all OC it isn’t a big loss.
