I've learned to appreciate the fact that at 39 I now have to get up and pee in the middle of the night and I also need to sit on the side of the bed for a few seconds to gather myself before getting up... 

I hear from the elders that it only gets worse

Actually, at 49 I feel better and am in better shape than at 25, but I do have to work much harder at it.
