OT - Gameday Sandwiches

It was slow cooker Sunday as that crazy T Mobile CEO likes to say on his Facebook videos.
I only make these during the NFL season a couple times a season hence the name Gameday Sandwiches.
I generously rubbed a chuckie using the following: salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.
Put seasoned roast in the crockpot and turn on the lowest setting. Mine is 10hrs. Throw in a whole onion, deskinned but left intact. Mix a package of McCormick au jus with about 1/2 the water the package calls for and put in the crock pot. Let it roll for the 10hrs. I added some carrots about 45 minutes beforehand for a side dish.
On the toasted kaiser roll.
I add some steamed broccoli. It’s my ode to Primanti Bros putting fries on a sandwich.
Provoloned up and ready to go.
Half cut makes it easier to dip in the Au jus.
Thanks for looking.

Great looking groceries right there. However, the broccoli swings my final vote to the Primanti Bros and the fries

Looks great! If I may humbly suggest some horseradish sauce.
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -

You may be the only person on earth to sub steamed broccoli for french fries and call it an ode to rather than a compromise.
Hot spicy pickled broccoli (giardiniera style) would be money on that sandwich though.
What became of the onion?Love you bro! -
Meat looks great but I prefer broccoli on the side.

I once ate a rice and broccoli sandwich on loaf bread. Grabbed the wrong container and took it to work.

Or is he complimenting your wife?
I guess I'm just confused.
I think that if you can provide a scantily clad picture of your wife we'll all understand this a lot better.

Dang, bunch of folks have limited palettes up in here.
Not much different than those super popular sandwiches that have broccoli rabe (broccoli rabe isn't broccolli I know, but in a way similar (think mustard green tops)) on them. Think Dinics in Philly. Amazing sandwich.

Big difference there. Given the choice between Scottie's balls and broccoli on a sandwich (unless it's pickled on a muffalata), I would have to go with the balls.______________________________________________I love lamp..
