@TEXASBGE2018 looking at this same guy right now - watcha think so far???TEXASBGE2018 said:After selling my 36” blackstone because I just didn’t need that much space I bought this guy. 22” Portable and the perfect size for my family of 4. I liked the idea of the dual H shaped burners so there is the ability to have 2 different zones
The 17" Blackstone is nice for traveling. The keyword is "traveling". It was a workhorse when tailgating after softball last year. Unfortunately it hasn't seen the light of day since last fall. It's not that I don't like it but I don't want to have to get creative at home to cook meals on it. The bigger Blackstones are so much easier and enjoyable to use when at home. Even if you don't need all the space on it. The 17" doesn't feel any bigger than your basic 14" frying pan on the stove at home. It doesn't push me to go out and fire up a small Blackstone and deal with the clean up afterwards. Just not worth the hassle personally. A completly different scenario when traveling with it though.
Just my personal opinion on it. I personally wouldn't go smaller than a 28" if you aren't traveling much with it. 36" seems to be the perfect fit most times here at the house. Even if it's for a couple people."The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

ive set mine up in the kitchen before on the stove top for big breakfasts at camp, way easier than cooking some things over 4 burnersTEXASBGE2018 said:NDG said:

Had this made for the garden, delivered today. Apart from a loose design brief, we didn't see anything until today. Happy with the end result.

Another purchase arrived today, a pressure kerosene lamp for camping. This model was made between 1958 and 1964. The base should be plated brass, but that's all gone now. Needs a clean up, seals and a mantle and good to go.

Now I need a scope for my AR10 build.Plenty of options out there. All depends on your budget, magnification range desired and focal plan wanted. I've seen some good ones in the $350-$400 range or some insanely great ones for a grand (or more). If you want to punch gnat nuts at 1000+ yards, you'll need top glass.I'll probably end up putting a Holosun dot (maybe add their 3x magnifier to it) on my AR10 pistol. Barrel has finally shipped (12.5") so I should have it together within a month or two. Waiting for my new mill to arrive so I can finish the 80% lower for that build. I have a list of what to get from where for the build.

Under $500 is pretty easy. Look at Vortex, midrange Leupold, or even really high quality used glass. Most of those lifetime warranties are 100% transferredpescadorzih said:

The scope mount is for a 30mm tube. That limits the options in the range I want. That may need to change.
