Ron, I got a new shaving brush today. The RazoRock Monster. It’s a plissoft synthetic with a 26mm knot.

This 14 dollar brush performs as good or better than some of my 200+ dollar Silver Tip Badger brushes. Wish I would of found this a long time ago. Simply an outstanding brush.  While this brush is certainly huge, it’s not so big that it’s cumbersome or unusable.
Size comparison of the Monster upside my Vikings Blade STBB.

Laying in the big hand for a better size comparison.

For any of you wet shavers our there that bowl lathers, (especially soap latherers) give this brush a try. It’s the best 14 bucks that you will ever spend. With that said, you need a larger bowl to lather. It’s to big for puck lathering. Due to its size, it lathers soap far better than any of my badger and silver tip badger brush’s  that cost 20 times more.

I wonder how that brush would look in Andre the Giant's hand.  Sadly, we will never know.

    OK GUYS!!!

Obviously I should have read or at least scanned that whole link before I posted it!
I’m actually just curious how you ended up at “BroBBQ” in the first place Ron.  Doesn’t exactly seem like your type of thing.
I really did not "end up" there. I saw that link posted elsewhere and STUPIDLY did NOT even glance much more than to do a quick scroll through the meats. Then since we were leaving home in just a few minutes I just posted that link.

Haha don’t worry about it man.  It was good for some laughs here.

Doesn't anyone just lather their face with a bar of soap and shave away anymore?

    No sir.

Ron, for today’s shave I’m going with TOOBS hard soap.

    Check out this lather building.

This is going to be an outstanding shave by any measure.

Ron, all I can say is WOW!!  What a slick, close shave. The Monster brush is an incredible lather builder. Think I will finish up with some Captains Choice 45th Parallel and a hit of Pinaud Clubmam talc for good measure.

I highly recommend the Monster brush for any bowl latherers out there. The above lather was produced by a 60 second soap load.

SGH, given all of your shaving equipment, I hope that you use separate brushes for when you shave your sack and when you shave your face.

I just never could make the transition to an electric. As crazy as it may sound, I always felt severely sunburned after using an electric. It happened every time that I tried one.
Also the shave (especially under my neck) with an electric  was no where near as close as wet shaving with a DE or straight.
And last but not least, I really enjoy making a good quality lather. Electric is latherless  :s

You can lather with the new electrics, I lather and shave in the shower.
