Haven’t read through all the posts so this has probably been mentioned but a real nice bed like sleep number or tempeupidic last a real long time and worth every penny imho

@DoubleEgger I get the shoe thing for My Beautiful Wife. I think in the past year, she has given 200 pairs to Goodwill or her friends that want them.
New shoes, for her, around our home, is no longer a big thing. If she does not buy them, I would think something is seriously wrong. She does buy quality, and she loves shoes, so I don't catch a lot of static on my lump and wine purchases.
She just bought her 4th pair of hiking boots. Oboz. Absolutely loves them. Anyone that owns a pair, will never wear anything else.
    I wear them almost exclusively.

Hmmm, I suppose my K&E slide rule still works, tho' at this point I can't figure out what box in what closet its been sitting in for the last 35 years.

I still use Craftsman kiddy tools set, c. 1957. Really, the tiny pliers and screwdrivers are good in so many day to day uses.

    Didn't buy it, but my grandpa's Nicholson 12" bastard file, c, 1925. Grandma's 12" Griswold skillet.

I got those too. The square grooves are illegal and the copper kills the ducks or something. They feel like hitting a ball with a brick on a trick compared to modern clubs, but they are classics & beautiful.

It is almost 24 years old. I bought it new.

    it's a beast, weighs almost 125 pounds.
Probably the best purchase I have ever made.

Hahaha yeah the square grooves used to chew up the balata balls.   And I’ve put that Benelli through the paces duck hunting.   I’ve found steel shot number three kills ducks pretty good too :).
