Admission - I am an old fart.

I don't hate any of the TV chefs, but there are some I like better than others. I grew up with Jacques, Julia, the Frug. I always liked America's Test Kitchen and Cooks Country. I abhor competition cooking shows, no matter who is the host. I always watched cooking shows to learn. Even Nadia G, for all the schmaltz on her show, did present some good recipes. I liked License to Grill, but Canada didn't want to share Robert Rainford, so we got stuck with Celine Dion. Guy has his moments. I can't take a marathon of DDD, or anything else for that matter. All get a bit old. Rachel Ray is okay, but she sounds like a bourbon and cigarette fiend. I like her, though, in small doses. Giada, well, Ciao, Bella!

I changed my mind. Gordon Ramsey is a prick.

My standards must have really sank these last 33 years of married bliss, I'm just not seeing Rachel Ray as a cow. She's put on a few and aged. Who hasn't?

One of his shows he cooked at his actual house, his kitchen was da bomb. But he made “BBQ ribs” in the oven... plus bleached hair and piercings not my thing. I think he’s the kind of guy who would be great in small doses but would get sick of if together for more than a hour or so. Unless his real personality is a lot toned down from his on air persona.

For those that are as old or older than myself and lived in the Charlotte area.  When I was home sick from school I was forced to watch this with my Mom.  Betty Feezor for the win.https://youtu.be/2nw65xrA-TQ

@DoubleEgger How can you tell the difference between a 67 and 68 Camaro? You can spot a 69 with the head lights but have always wondered the difference between 67-68. Just curious as some call Fieri Camaro a 67 and others say 68. Any styling difference I'm not picking up on?

Lots of examples of the latter, are there?

Any ever see the episode where he pulled out a rock from a bag of RO?

Guy over the top and clownish?

    Check.

    Hate Guy?

Negative. A lot of the hate to me stems to stem from jealousy,  and the pompous "righteously trained and experienced" chefs voicing that jealousy.

He's making it happen for himself, yet we always seek to destroy success in media.

Guy’s picks on DDD have led me to enough terrible places that I have less faith in his show than I do his hat with fake hair on it.

BUT,.. his burger place on the carnival cruise line boat I took for my wedding was the TRUTH!! Hate him? Hell no, I don’t hate the player and really don’t hate the game. Would love to repeat his success even if I had to act like a douche too

I like him and his show Triple D. The others are meh.

You can tell when he doesnt like something, he usually says “solid” or some other single word after one bite, then they move on.

I love DDD, use it all the time when we go visiting out of town.  Never really been disappointed in the meals!!!  He does have some quirks that I can see folks not liking but HATE is a huge word and I would reserve that for the far left!

Hope you would save some of that for the extremists on both sides, unless you have a soft spot for the white supremacists.
