Thanks @lousubcap @CTMike.   My bourbon knowledge is not so great, and I didn't know about that.    We have a little bet going on the outcome of this weekend's friendly match between our largest, oldest, and best service vs the taxi service for the Marines.   The prize is a nice bottle of bourbon and your favorite local rub. There's the context.    Army Navy week is one of my favorite weeks of the year, but it's been a long time since it's been even a close matchup.

To explain a little about PVW, it's typically rated one of the tops bourbons every year, and it is an extremely limited release - so hard to find. In fact, you'd have better luck finding a virgin in a whorehouse outside of Ft Bragg.

A few years back, the game was held at Fedex field, and I was able to watch it from my company's luxury suite. Very cool.

I think we need @travisstrick to attend so that he can teach all of us how to cook a brisket the proper way.

Just squeeze, pop and measure the furthest puss distance travel.  Arm chair olympics.

Appreciate @CTMike quoting the picture, would have never figured out what you were referring to otherwise.

No road travel unless others take up the journey.  FWIW-

I appreciate your restraint.  Could get ugly/disgusting really quickly.

Appears to be Basal cell vs Squamous. I'm no doc but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express about 10 years ago.

This may not be a family friendly thread, but let me remind you that it IS a family friendly event.

During the official event hours it is family friendly.

Just to reiterate, Butt Blast is  very much a family friendly event.  None of the miscreants that try to make this thread look otherwise even attend.  Mostly.  Come and have some fun with our family and friends.  Nowhere else will you find Duke folk being friendly with NC folk and Kentucky grads.  It's the Burning Man of BBQ.  Ok, that's an overreach.  Its still fun for all with amazing eats.

I never said it wasn't family friendly outside of event hours. I only said that it was family friendly during event hours. Talk about confirmation bias...

  • Let me just say there were photos from previous years that weren’t appropriate for the official event website.
