Maybe they should pollute more and the pollution levels will drop.  Makes total sense.

But carbon credits isn’t the way to go. I was directly involved with this at a previous position and it’s a racket.

You never know.  Trump was a student once......and never grew out of the "lad" mentality.

How best to assign cost to environmental impacts is an entirely different discussion.

Whatever happened to the hole in the ozone layer and the acid rain that was gonna kill us all.  Al Gore got rich off the climate change hoax, and lemmings in the Dem Party keep it alive.   BTW, I support reasonable environmental regulation, recycling, and detest litter.

Also the state with the largest population so...

Cali also has an economy that ranks it above most countries in the world (5th or 6th largest I believe).

They banned certain chemicals worldwide that were destroying the ozone layer and it worked.  It's still not 100% where it should be though.

I'm on for an 80% increase in sales this year and I don't even live in the US.
You sell Peterbilt truck parts too?  Brexit?
...because if you sell Peterbilt truck parts and you're not governed by Trump, why did you do so much better than gaygolfer's company?
Whatever happened to you trying to take the high road Nola? Homophobic slurs are now okay?
I joked with him about that when we meet at BB.  Not sure you are barking up the right tree.
There can be no joking anymore. Too high a risk of aggravating the perverbial butthurt crowd.  ;)
Second time in this thread alone he has used a slur. It appears to be a part of his everyday vernacular. Just rolls out a bit too easy.  If I said something like that he would likely calle a bigot and homophobe. At very least he would imply it. Oh well.

The only reason I engage in that type of talk is to point out hypocrisy. FWIW, I could care less about stupid political correct speech. It’s clear he didn’t really mean to disparage a whole group of homosexuals, but it is also true that many folks would absolutely blow a gasket over language like that. You know, they are your friends and political confidants. I use triggers just to tweak guys like you. Lol! Sorry.

yes Pete, you are indeed the puppet master.  tweak away and lol to your heart's content.  you can see the difference, you choose not to for entertainment sake and that's fine, it's better than going home and kicking your dog.

fwiw, I know you as well as I know John, Nola or anyone else around here.  forum only.  I'm sure there is a well organized group out there that doesn't agree with you or maybe even doesn't fully appreciate you, but I think here, it's just individuals, not any organized group.  sorry if that's disappointing, sometimes I get the feeling you like yourself in that role.

True. Some groups are but that is a tough nut to crack given the global nature of the problem and the nations involved.

Hey, this ain’t life or death. Have fun with it. If it bothers you this much, I’m worried. I give. I take. Whatever. I tend to see things from a different perspective than you. It’s basically a core philosophy difference. I know that’s hard for you to fathom, but there are people out there who think very differently than you. You must not bother to know them. FWIW, I know plenty of people who think like you. Lol! That was gratuitous. Lol! Ok, I’ll stop now. Carry on with the circle jerks you guys seem to enjoy. They are very stimulating and thought provoking. Lots of differing perspectives. No, really!
