@JohnInCarolina you seem to believe every accuser today without question while trying to sweep Juanita Broaddrick under the rug. Answer this question directly John. No deflections, no quirky memes. Do you believe Juanita’s assertion that Bill Clinton raped her? If not, why?

I think her story is credible.  I believe her, yes.

I don't know why you're asserting that I've tried to sweep her under the rug, however.  I don't actually recall her ever coming up here before.
You made references earlier deflecting Clinton talk. Juanita is the most serious Clinton accuser. Far worse than consentual cigar foreplay in the Oval Office that Bill is commonly associated with. The Clintons went to great lengths to discredit her story as well as others and slander her in the public eye. Remember that Paula Jones got $850k from Bill for exposing himself.
  • Yeah, sure there wasn't any money involved with that.

    Try this one:

    http://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-rape-sexual-assault-minor-wife-business-victims-roy-moore-713531

This is one of my favorite parts, though I'm not sure about its legal merits.

"Michael Cohen, his former lawyer and top aide, defended him against Ivana Trump’s claims, saying, "By the very definition, you can't rape your spouse."

What I said was that changing the subject back to Clinton is a means of deflecting away from Trump.  That’s not the same thing as suggesting that Clinton’s accusers aren’t credible.

Right back at you on this sort of thing though: do you believe Anita Hill?  If not, why not?

  • There’s a very long list of accusations that have been levied against Trump.  The guy is a creep and is completely unfit for office.

So how does the primary system manage to produce 2 candidates so hated by the other side? Why not select someone clean, or are the other potential candidates as as bad?

It's the entire system.......for the most part.

I think the important thing is to show how smart you are by continuing to argue along party lines, or my personal favorite - the 'he did it first' argument.

Personally, I would say that I am dissatisfied with the current president, including how he conducts himself, how he represents me and you, how he stirs the pot with divisive rhetoric, how he combs his hair, how he treats people and how, in a world that is more and more egocentric and selfish, he has managed distinguish himself.

Is this an endorsement or criticism of any past presidents or current politicians? no.   Does it matter if he is the first or the 25th to do something crass or horrible?  no.  I don't think it's that people don't see that, I think it comes down to how we've let the political culture infect us.  If you're not winning, then you're losing (Resse Bobby, kind of).  I would bet anyone on here flapping their gums in support of Trump knows deep down he's a tool and he's bad for the country, but would they admit that?  I doubt it for fear of losing - whatever that means, I mean aren't we all kind of losing?

Anyone vote for Trump and willing to say they regret it at this point?  Or he's not the guy they thought they were voting for?  Wish he was better?

At least on the GOP side, John Kasich was perfectly clean as far as I know.  People just didn’t vote for him.

I voted for Trump and wish he was better.  I wouldn't say I regret it (yet) because there was no viable alternative.

We had better choices on both sides. We just didn’t vote for them.

I don't think Trump runs next time, I think there is no incumbent.  Not sure what the reason will be - health, scandal/pushed out, age, been there/done that and not interested in another four.  I think there's a good chance it's wide open.  If he's around, he'll flirt with it to fan his ego, but I don't think he's in it next time.

We meaning a collective we as Americans. I voted for Gary Johnson. My hope was that the Libertarians could get to 5% and get Fed funding next time. My vote was for another voice.

The party faithful tend to be more extreme and they vote for the leader (or in your case the candidate). I don't think that the membership of the main parties is representative of the population at large as they are in an activist bubble.

@Legume - great post.  I honestly believe that he didn't think he was gonna win in '16 with his antics right before the vote but all of a sudden, here I am.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

The thought of the Libertarian Party actually accepting federal funding makes me chuckle.

Because it's so hot and dry in Arizona, do you think I could cool my shop with a swamp cooler?  Is water expensive?  Also, do people run 50/50 antifreeze in their cars?  Should I get rid of my snow tires?

If you're planning on doing any snow skiing you might want to keep a set of snow tires on hand.

Funny because I consider snake oil the nationalist populist rhetoric, demagoguery and faux policy like "trickle-down economics".
