Did you see that Xavier game last night?!?!   DAMN!   That's some good college ball.

The WVU game earlier wasn't bad either.  I mean, I wanted WVU to win, but still a good finish.

( ....aaaaaaaand, my bracket is 18 out of 22.  Consistent year over year.  Particularly sad because I think some of you who are beating me had your dogs do the picks.)

You have to think, that coach for Arizona is just not made for the final four. He has had INCREDIBLE talent in his time there that has been NC worthy but he just can't get there.

I'm actually in NYC right now for the DOE, and the Wisconsin men's team is in our hotel with us.  Chatted with a few of the players - super nice kids.

@JohnInCarolina -  perhaps you are in the hotel with them ;)
Have fun in NYC -I'm sure you can score tix to tonight's games at MSG.  Of course I suspect the true focus will be in Memphis.  Gonna be some great games.

I'm definitely more interested in tonight's games than last night's, and I'll be cheering for Wisconsin for sure.  Lot of "yes sir" and "thank you sir" from them to me, and they don't know me from Adam.

No doubt they are amazing players- but to me it's hard to get behind the one and done teams. No time to get committed and follow the growth of the players. But, the winning would be nice. Looking great tonight.

Yeah, The SEC sucks. Only got 3 teams in the great 8. SEC should have had 10 teams in the tournament.
Anybody see any Duke fans in the Sweet 16, besides D. Vitale and the other sports journalists?

I can understand if you are 19 years old and get an opportunity to make millions and play ball you should probably take it but I am not a fan of a college team built on this concept.

I enjoy the mid-majors that get 4 or 5 upper classmen that have played together and make a break thru in the tournament. Unfortunately the latest trend is the good mid-major underclassmen are now transferring up to bigger schools. I am a complete casual fan and I can't keep up anymore.

Maybe I've been so bored by the regular season, I never watched the playoffs.
Just like the energy of college bball much better all season long.  They are playing with heart, for their school.  Sure, they hope to get a contract after graduation, but many of them don't.  They're not earning millions, they're just college kids playing ball.  It's a good show.
I don't think the pep bands hurt. Plus, I appreciate that coaching still counts at the college level.

That's what I used to think.  However, I've heard several coaches who have coached at both levels say that they coach about 10 times as much at the pro level as they do at the college level.  Each possession at the pro level requires more focus on trying to understand potential mismatches, etc.

It just doesn't show as much because they're, well, pros.

The college game is still more fun in general most of the time.

Love the mid majors, teams like Duke as an example. Too bad very few get further than the first weekend.
