This is an actual question for @YukonRon, I'm not being a smart a$$. Why do you use Unsweetened ice tea when you are adding a cup of sugar?
That said, I've made seven batches of these and never deviated from the recipe.
Formerly @dharley prior to some password bs.

That said, I've made seven batches of these and never deviated from the recipe. That was my guess. The origin of this recipe, was from a lady who attended the church, My Beautiful Wife was formerly a member of.
It is only coincidence My Beautiful Wife is no longer a member after receiving that recipe."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

For me, drinking responsibly, is a practice, not a goal. Yes I am responsibly prepared, by sitting in corner by myself, in a chair with multiple seatbelts sitting over a tarp, with my bourbon in a non spill container, away from fire, wearing steel toed boots, safety glasses, and safety gloves. I have learned."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

The bourbon shush was a hit! There wasn’t a drop left by the end of the evening. I did tweak the recipe a bit. Since I made peach-smoked pulled pork with the peach slather, I added a few cups of a peach whiskey to the mix thinking it would go with the pork. It was so good, and several people asked for the recipe. Thanks again for sharing!

@YukonRon Is Blanton’s as good for bourbon slushies as it is for eggnog? Asking for a friend.Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"
