Things are starting to take shape.  These are cut just right for the KBQ.  Got them from a really nice guy, safety analyst at Deere in East Mo.  Easily worth 30.

Boy is gonna get something for his bow at Bass Pro in Altoona for being a good helper.

    CT,

    Where are you parking yours?
Was contemplating building a level paver area to set it on, with the pavers stacked in the back.  Will dig deep enough to roll the mower right over it.  I want to keep it away from the house, but in the vacinity of the wood pile.  The thing is light enough to lift and set up out here each time it's used.  Thoughts?
Mine is going in the garage. My eggs are on an elevated deck and I'm not cooking on this thing on a deck, I'll wheel it out to the driveway away from the house. Not ideal but my backyard is down 20 feet of stairs and I'm not running up and down that every 30 minutes. I do have a concrete pool deck and a sport court down there but I can't see myself running up and down stairs every half hour to tend a fire, Driveway is right outside the kitchen so that's where it's going to be until I can think of something better.

All the grills, except this one and the BS oven(kept in garage), are close to the kitchen on a concrete slab.  I cook pies with the garage door half open during the winter.  I agree, outside the kitchen is really handy, especially during the winter.

Would love to pour a slab, and build a rustic smokeshack with treated lumber, and corrugated roofing.  But that's a huge project I don't have the money or time for.

Ah, wrestling with some serious first-world issues. ;)  Gonna be quite the smoker for sure.  @TheCenTex Smoker - don't know about you and Lakewade in a local comp.  Seems it could degenerate in short order  =)
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Have you guys considered the Big Green Egg? I hear they will hold temp for a good 24 hours! Probably longer!! Lifetime warranty too!

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Black cherry and Mulberry....just a free sampling.  All the rest is free too, when I'm in the neighborhood.  Don't even have to call.

Hawgeyes wanted $1 per split.  Yeah...Fock that.  Picked up some Plowboys and Oakridge for cheap though.

Ol' Blue was put to the test in 4 HI, muddy hills to get back there to it....solid, like a rock.

I dont know why you'd worry about cooking on a deck

Yeah. We are already in borrowed time there. I will not further tempt the fire gods.
