July 10 South MS River Fest

The event is July 10 from noon until late. Anyone who wants to help with overnight smoking is welcome to come July 9. Or early in the morning July 10. Or come stay all weekend! Anyone who comes on the 9th will go out on the pontoon to see the local area.

The location is BILOXI, MS.  I live on the Tchoutacabouffa River which is great to swim in or fish and is Fresh water. The water is still cool in the summer and we jump off the large boat house into the river all summer. Kids are absolutely welcome and I'll get a bounce house or slide for them for the event. There is plenty of room for tent camping on my 3 acres property and I have room for a few smaller travel trailers in my parking area at my house. There are also 2 hotels less than a mile away.

There are casinos and hotels near by. I'm located less than 2 miles from I-10 (Exit 46) and less than 6 miles from the largest casinos on the coast (Beau Rivage, IP, Hard Rock, Scarlett Pearl, Golden Nugget, Harrah's and many more). So very convenient location for a vacation.

The event is located less than 100 miles from the New Orleans airport or the French Quarter! Less than 55 miles from the Mobile Airport and only 17 miles from the Gulfport/Biloxi Airport. Just off Highway 67 only 2 miles north of I-10.

















There are 2 Green eggs and my Shirley trailer plus anyone is invited to bring their cooking devices. Or just bring a recipe and use one of the eggs / Offset here!

    Last time I did a count I think there were around 25 confirmed. Most of which will bring at least 1 person with them. Plus I'm inviting my business employees out to help eat! So there should be a decent crowd. 

    It won't be any Brisket Camp/Butt Blast.  But I wouldn't be surprised to get up to 100 people out.

    This event is guaranteed to be spectacular.  I say this because I'm pissed I cannot make it.  Scott is not only a nice and generous guy, he can cook the shilt out of anything BBQ.  Go if you can!  Thanks for the invite Scott, calendar doesn't work. Y'all have fun as I know you will.

    Living in West Texas sure sucks..  So far from all the gatherings.  It just might be time to relocate.   I haven't met any of you guys in person but y'all sure have helped me with my cooks.  Would love to make it.  Might just have to talk to SWMBO and tell her we are heading that way.

    If all goes well on the projects I am working with currently, my finish date on my last is July 15. It may indeed be sooner, if so, I will be there.
    I have stayed at the HRC before, and it is very close to the fishing boat docks. You can pick up fresh seafood right there.
    If (and that is a BIG IF) I can make it, I will stay there, investigate the seafood opportunities for the cooks, and arrive early enough to help, get things set up and start smoking.
    I should have a better feel by June 15. So add me to the "Hope I can Make It List."
    BTW, you have a beautiful home.
