I know there's a few musicians on this board; are you guys familiar with Rick Beato? He's a pretty good musician on his own, understands theory, and (somehow) gets access to the multitrack master tapes of many, many great hits. He then dissects them, track by track, in a Ewetube video series called "What Makes This Song Great?"
Many years ago I played in a bar band that used a lot of sequenced tracks ("sequencing" was recording a part in a computer, along with a "click" track that the drummer could hear, so he could keep the band in sync with the computer). Being I was the keyboardist/synthesist/geek of the band, it was up to me to record the backing tracks, a very time-consuming job. We finally tackled Stevie Wonder's Superstition, a song I love to this day, and I thought I did a pretty good job on the backing tracks.
Heh. I missed a few nuances!
Here's Rick Beato dissecting Superstition, and there was a HELL of a lot more going on, in the groove, than I (or the bass player and drummer, who played their parts live on stage) ever captured. This may not be of interest to most on this forum, but if you're a musician, or a Stevie fan, definitely worth a listen.
