OK.  So new update from the lawyers.   They say stop talking about the lawyers.  They're not mad, but they like to stay invisible, sorta like camo croc clogs on a cajun in the swamp.  Their words, not mine.

I'm not supposed to say this (but it's a free county)...  On our team (they may not know it at this time but they are screwed by family connections) we will have not one, but two lawyers that have argued cases in front of the supreme court.  I hope this statement doesn't attract the media, I don't think so since only a crazy subset of society reads this forum, but cross our collective fingers.  We DO NOT WANT MEDIA.   PERIOD.

Sooooo.....come ye hungry, come ye smoke sniffers and eaters of BBQ.  We will have the absolute antithesis of a corporate event.  Organic, red-neck, hip (thanks to Henapple's PBR which we will all steal, or maybe not all).  And we will FIGHT, I mean COOK like greased weasels.   But at the end of the day, if you have a little acid reflux, even a slight brisket burp, you will be imprinted with something that is greater than the sum of its parts.  Or you will have a hangover.  Either way, good Louisiana times that you can't have anywhere else.  NOLA out. (gawd, I nedd to stop drinkn)

Now that I've watched the band video I'm even more sad I can't make it although I do have a physical next week and I'm thinking camp might throw my numbers off a bit.
If nobody helps pay I'd be willing to do so just to make sure there's a "next year".

@GATraveller - Sorry you can't make it! Would have been great to meet you.  It is essentially in my back yard, so I understand it isn't as easy for most people to attend.

I knew nothing about this until reading these last few pages. BBQ, jug band, beer, and cajun country sounds like one hell of a good time! I thought i had a packed weekend planned.... haha be safe out there

Just trolling with plane pics.  Heading home, been on the road since Friday.  Wife declared we are NOT going anywhere this weekend.  I wish we could be there, I am also happy to be at home. For the second time in many weeks.
