Slow n Low Chicken

Went to the very back left corner of my spice drawer and found some McCormicks BBQ rub and said "so be it".

Deboned a 4.5lb chicken except for wing and leg and covered in the listed rub. Cooked @ 225° with some cherry & apple for smoke and flipped skin down for the last 30mins.  Finish temp was 170 in the breast and 195 in the thighs.

Only one pic with slaw I made and Bush baked beans.

All it took to create a masterpiece was to discover some rub you didn't know you had? I'm guessing it does not take much to get your cooking juices flowing.....
