Went to the very back left corner of my spice drawer and found some McCormicks BBQ rub and said "so be it".
Deboned a 4.5lb chicken except for wing and leg and covered in the listed rub. Cooked @ 225° with some cherry & apple for smoke and flipped skin down for the last 30mins. Finish temp was 170 in the breast and 195 in the thighs.
Only one pic with slaw I made and Bush baked beans.

All it took to create a masterpiece was to discover some rub you didn't know you had? I'm guessing it does not take much to get your cooking juices flowing.....Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Damn that looks fantastic. Nicely Done sir.I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.
